I lived there for about four months back in 2015. Although it's a big city it's much more relaxed than New York with less tourists etc. The center area is nice with some old houses and historic attractions. Some of the suburbs are proper ghettos with high crime rates. Never had any trouble around those areas those though. Just mind your own business and it'll be fine. I went to couple of dnb parties. Small venues with a small crowd, but it was great. Smoked some sweet philly blunts.

Surely much better places to go than there! Just booked a flight to LA in March. £340

Boston, Chicago, San Fran etc all cheap these days and have more to offer imo

I watched the Louis Theroux documentary about Philadelphia crime again last night. Looks like there are some right shit-hole areas but that's any large city, I guess.
