Returning to Thailand in a month and looking for some ethical elephant shindig if anyone has a recommendation, plus any other ideas for decent things to do close by, debating Ko Chang/Ko Mak again but happy to hear suggestions for the north as I skipped it last time,

Think I'll be in Cambo for a month Mid May as well @ Marcus if you've got any recommendations good sir

You didn't come did you?

I love Koh Chang, I've been 3 times. One of my favourite beaches in the world.

I'm looking to move to Thailand in a year or so. I've been in Cambodia 3 years come April. I feel like I've done and seen everything I want to do.

Currently at Otres beach 2, really nice and laid back here. I went to Serendipity and Victory Hill yesterday to see the Chinese takeover, it's shocking. Chinese casinos, plush hotels and huge supermarkets everywhere. All the signs are in Chinese. The whole town is one big construction site, dusty as fuck and open seweage everywhere. I'm sure some of it wouldn't look out of place in Mogadishu.

So many western restaurants and hotels have been closed down. The khmer people are really not happy, at least we can get out.

Quite sad to see Cambodia's main beach resort completely fucked over.

Did Thailand again but never made it in the end as I stupidly got in a relationship lol... I've been thinking about fucking off over to Cambodia or Vietnam again recently (Amongst all the other thoughts), just saving up again and looking at a few jobs here atm... god I hate life

If the Chinese want something they will get it. Look at what they've done to Africa. That land will have its timber cut down and mines set up to rape until it is all that remains is a desert. They do it everywhere and Cambodia is no different.

There are a lot of extremely rich Chinese whose only function in life is to make money from any resource, anywhere available in the world.

The Cambodian government is so corrupt and hell bent they will sell off anything. You can't blame the Chinese for taking advantage.

My mate is going to Vietnam soon with his mavic pro2. Keeps asking me for advice and my only response is the pharmacists are friendly. One of my main regrets about travelling is not remembering it all
