Weirdly I thought of Jim Bowen earlier (before I knew of his death) when I rode past someone's house with a speedboat on the driveway. I live nowhere near the coast

At least he got away before #metoo caught up with him. It was only gonna be a matter of time.

Leaving a legacy of a "dirty Bristow" is a fine one indeed.

Responsible for the greatest tweet in living memory:

“Might be a looney but if some football coach was touching me when I was a kid as I got older I would have went back and sorted that poof out.”

meant paedo not poof

I don't want to sound cold hearted... but 2016 had a whole heap of A-listers dying. Genuine legends. 2018 seems to be the year of obscure or kind of cult figures departing.

Jim Bowen, Tinky Winky, Bristow (a darts legend, but it's still darts) and so on..

Savage about Avicii @ 28

Sure people on this forum wouldn’t like his stuff, but clearly a fucking great talent in his field.

In 2016, Avicii retired from live performing due to health reasons, having suffered from acute pancreatitis owing, in part, to excessive drinking. In 2014, Avicii had his gallbladder and appendix removed.
