@White goods mandem - tumble dryers

Following hot on the heels of the highly exciting bed, coffee and vegan threads I bring you this...

I need a condensor tumble dryer. It needs to go in a cupboard with no extraction tube or connection to the drains. Any recommendations?

Do not buy Hotpoint, I had one of the models which randomly caught on fire, they've changed it to one of the newer models but it still seems to get hot as fuck.....and not in a good way!

Buy a better house that has drainage IMO..

Where do you live, Islamabad or the Cotswolds?

I actually have a mate who is a white goods repairman. Go for White Knight. "They use them in professional laundries, and are really simple yet effective engineering". That's what my mate says. I own one he gave me and I can concur it's a workhorse. It runs every day, more or less and has done for eight or nine years now.

I've read the same about white knights and condensers but we can't get it plumbed in where it's going so a condenser it is. Will still be better than dryer racks all over the gaff!

Of course it has drainage you bellend. In any case that is not the limitation. Lack of a vent outside is.

That would mean feeding the pipe up through the ceiling which I'm reluctant to do for a number of reasons

I have a condenser type in the conservatory ... It's alright, but by no means does it condense everything, when its on the conservatory is basically a sauna... no real biggie because you can open windows etc, if yours is gonna be next to the front room or whatever, prepare to be quite warm

Someone recommended one of these to me

Universal White Knight Beko Tumble Dryer Indoor Condenser Vent Kit Box With Hose https://www.amazon.co.uk/...r_cp_apa_urD3zbMP6EV8X

However, I ended up putting the dryer in the garage so put a hose near the garage door, which works. I've still got this condenser box thing brand new and unused If you want it.

Cheers man but I think we either need to get a proper condensing one or drill through the roof...

I have a Hoover condensing one in a storage cupboard with the storage heater. Does get hot in there but leave the door open and it's fine. Dries as good as a vented one tbh, no complaints.

The one I got has the water condense in a container on the door so it's easy to empty. As I don't have the room for a vented one this is 100x better than not having one or a shitty combination washer/dryer.

I spent a good 5 minutes recommending Aldi dishwasher tablets to people at work yesterday and at least 30 seconds of today skim reading this.
