Bordering on a design&bass parody tune at times
Quite a lot of times tbh

Diane Charlegmane was an awful singer.  Even with processing, she is flat as fuck on Timeless and even worse on the other tracks off that album she 'sang' on.

Watching her live...  jesus fuck.  Dreadful.  Simon Cowell would spit on her back.

vocal carelessly chucked over a random but sort of decent late 91 style breakbeat hardcore workout that doesn't go anywhere. i'll pass

Listening the Burial remix again. I really quite like it, but perhaps it would be better without the Inner City Life vocals lol

Captures that late 1992 hardcore vibe at the end perfectly

hmm I like it as a burial track but it could lose the inner city life bits and it would be better which I suppose means it's a failure. and actually it gets more and more jarring as it goes on with the out of time vocal

Captures nothing but a steaming pile of piss imo. This was only put together to cash in on record store hipster movements.

Does nothing for me at all.

The vocals were rebuilt, purposely torn out of time and ugly. Seems like he took it literally trying to capture the inner city stress/anxiety.. followed by that ending. Quite surprised to not see more heads feeling it on here

I really like it, sounds much better on vinyl than on the YouTube clip, don't judge it on the YouTube version with headphones. Sounds wicked on vinyl through decent speakers

I don't even think the vocals are that out of time, just pushing the swing factor IMO. One of the reasons dnb is so stale for me is that everything is so tight, there's none of that early hardcore messiness that this remix encapsulates

It actually reminds me of that quality satin storm track that Goldie often plays, the really messy one!

Yep, undoubtedly why it's up Goldie's street. He's back in AWOL, off his nut ha.

Would Not Bang.

The beats are comically bad, not even going to mention the vocals, only redeeming feature is the sonar-bleep noise.

I would like the tune much more without the vocal.

First listen - something I like about it, but there are bits that are irritating too. Like the ending.

I saw her live, she could hold a tune? Admittedly, it was the Urban Cookie Collective doing their "I've Got the Key" jam but still

Sounds like a 'Designandbass' entry.

Loads of crackle and out of time. Is that intentional? Is that what the cool kids are doing?

I like the lack of quantize and I like the crackle. It's a throwback to old skool Hardcore, cool how it's divided opinion so much.

Crackle and loose beats have been a Burial signature since the first album.
The beats on these are no more "out of time" than on any of his his albums.

People seem to be loving going a bit OTT over this remix IMO.
