Bodyrock. Club in Hastings used to play it every week and everyone would go on about how much they loved dnb yet other than a few like shake your body if they came on the same people would basically boo.

It's probably not the worst dnb song ever but its what it represents. Put on a night in Hastings at the time and you would get about twenty people half of them the djs. Obviously this is post the hype of the pier events yet a few every now and again would bring people down from London and Kent etc.

Basically what Hastings became especially once the pier burnt down

TBH i like Born Slippy. Those 3 synth chords still sound nice . techno beat .

the random gibberish lyrics work well too.

Whether the song ended up appropiated by non-ironic "Lager lager" chants and 90s lad culture whiulst do vaguely remember - i do not care.

Lager can be quite nice anyhow.

Theres whole long line of history of songs being misinterpreted. Doesn't mean theyre bad.

On a similar note Jonny L - Back to your roots

Bradley from S Club 7 anyone?

The remix is a bit naff but the original is another great Jonny L stepper.

I couldn't understand what all the fuss was about with Vault. Dreadful tune.

Even stranger that Scotty signed it to 31

Most will disagree, but I always found 'Aztec' by Spor a bit meh. Overplayed!

Strange that he signed the tune (arguably) that took Drum and Bass music to a whole new level? Vault was groundbreaking, there was nothing else like it at the time.

I liked Vault and still like Vault, but all of this is untrue

Agreed.

It was called jungle in those days, not drum and bass. That came later

The HardcoreWillNeverDie remix that came out at the same time is one of the best remixes of all time though imo. BC remix doesn't get a look in.
