I guess another reason it doesn't get used these days is the fact that modern jump up doesn't actually have any bass. It's all high end noises.

load of shit cunt music

Saw it at the Garvey in Nottingham. Was fucking ridiculous, spent the whole night paranoid the paster was going to fall off the ceiling. It also smashed all the windows in the offices below the venue.

I'm sure I saw an interview where Dillinja or Lemon D were claiming that loud low ends don't harm your hearing because they don't cause tinnitus (might have been the shitcunt music interview)

I wonder how much it is to rent the valve soundsystem?

Just thinking back to the Brunel Rooms feeling the whole building shake as you approached the big double doors in to the main room. Then you open the doors and get absolutely facefucked by a bassline.

Also the rotating bar fucking with your head as you wait to get served.

Was always fun leaving at 5am completely deaf for half the walk back to the train station.

Saw it at Leeds uni in 2001 I think

First time it was in the city so it must have been pretty early in the soundsytems history

Massive HGV outside used to bring the rig to the student union

Ear plugs handed out to everyone attending

Security didn't know what to do it was so loud

You could hear the rumble from the bass about 100 yards down the road
