It's tasty which is all I need to know.

Although it has peaked my interest in gin.

What's a good 'proper' gin for me to get started on? I want something smooth.

I recommend you track down a bottle of "seapearl" gin. It's what got me hooked on this bloody stuff

I quite like Brokers as a straightforward gin. Plus the bottle wears a little bowler hat.

Yes, I do need my alcohol to have a warm bonce, especially as the gin will be for Christmas.

Get a bottle of Martin Miller Daz. Readily available and easily as nice as gins that cost quite a bit more.

Welcome to your new addiction.

Aldi's Oliver Cromwell gin won the best in the world this year.

£15 a litre.

Lidl do a cheapy called Hampstead which is a London Dry and also quite nice. Ideal if you're just getting in to it and don't want to splash £30+ on a bottle. Unfortunately it's only 500ml bottles.

Just bought a litre of it last night.  15 bloody quid, if it's even half as cool and tasty as it's supposed to be, then it's a bloody bargain.
