I can't believe it... Andy C is actually being Andy C again. Sure, that means he wasn't playing all that much new stuff, but at least it's far better than what he was playing to please the American EDM crowds and hipster children. He appears to be enjoying himself too; on one vid from an American festival, he looked bored out of his skull, not his old self at all.

Ye he's right at home here smashing out the rollers

He's playing in Sydney this month and I've been properly jealous of this thread over the last month or so, so I'm tempted to go. But considering half the pure shite drum and bass djs here play, I just don't know if it's gonna be worth it.

Never was a fan of Hands in the Air but rating that mix Andy does with that Avaritia bootleg. Reminds me of '08/09 Sub Focuz. biggles

Good interview here, first part is all about the XOYO nights, again his enthusiasm comes across so well at the right level:

I liked reading this bit:

"I need to get your favourite memories…
The first mix I did was pretty exhilarating because I’d never done a sound check because of the daytime sound restrictions. Week three’s pure jungle set was special. Week five with Ed Rush & Optical was mental. I said we were going back to The End on Twitter and everyone there was expecting music from that era. When I came on I look out and knew exactly what the crowd wanted and knew exactly what I wanted to play. Our vibes were totally aligned. But I actually opened with something brand new, just to throw people, then bang: in came The Pulse and The Beginning on the double drop. Just to say ‘only joking!’"

Even Andy's impressed by Papajaro's filming:

I watched a video from one of the nights the other day. Some guy must have been on one of the stages, it was an hour and a half of it. I watched a bit of it and the noise from the crowd, the buzz from the people hearing the tunes again – it was exactly what I wanted to do. So fulfilling.

Ah yeh forgot to mention that bit, that was more than half the reason I thought to post it up.....

Still annoys me that PJ's recording ends just before Planet Dust>Turbluence>Vault...it's like recording all of a great football game and missing the penalty shootout.

Has anyone bothered to put all the official 1 minute clips back to back into one video? Or is there somewhere you can watch them in a playlist?

EaHaeaHaEaHaaahaaa!! First time I've seen that article. It's an honour to be referred to as 'some guy' by the maestro himself.

Thanks for the bump Gavin.
