Bukem is the word Meh in musical form

For the last 15 yrs I agree tbh. Bukem / Good Looking in the early-mid 90s were amazing though. His sets upto 95 are pretty war he went in hard back then.

What was the last good Moving Fusion tune? Thunderball at a push? Or probably something on Ram Raiders.

Haven't seen Bukem in years but he's playing Hospitality in Berlin in a couple of weeks. What am I expecting? A classics set or upfront liquid/"intelligent" DnB?

The last thing Sparfunk did on his own was aight, don't think he's done anything since?! Don't know what happened to the other fella, seemed to disappear completely.

If you had told me 15 years ago to attend a rave with LTJ Bukem I'd have probably spat at you.

And yes he's made one or two good tunes, always found his sets extremely dull though.

I've never enjoyed Bukems quick chopping up style of mixing. I find it doesn't work very well with all the nice strings and pads and a smoother mix would suit much better

Bukem cuts nicely AND does sublime blends for the fellas.

I've seen him live so many times and hardly ever heard him fuck up a mix.

I wouldn't say he fucks up a mix.I just prefer the mix to roll out rather than him getting a bit hyper on the cross fader, especially as Bukem plays a more musical selection.

The old chop chop crossfade mix probably helps avoid key clashes with a lot of the jams he rolls out

only seen bukem a couple of times and have rated him. Aren't many other sets I've heard that haven't bored me though. That 2005 10 yrs of logical progression one from fabric is spot on though

Always preferred Demon's theme over Music. It sounds like it was made in a Jungle, on another planet, in another galaxy.

Music was the first D&B tune which really amazed me with the sense of progression throughout the tune.

Going to listen now. It's been a while.

Yes Gav I was going to say the same thing, I was trying to find a vid but looks like it's been taken down. Remember bagging that off DJ Lee in Basement baked out of my mind on my 17th birthday. It's the other side that's my favourite, another one that progresses so nicely through the track.

Seems to have flown under the radar compared to the GLR records.

Saw Bukem a few weeks back in Chicago, and he fucking destroyed. Still one of the best DJ's in D&B.

Seen him so many times, always delivers.

Weird how they repressed it with Bang The Drums rather than doing the whole 12  That had been repressed already!
