i'm mainly just fucked bored of it all. feels like it's been going on for years

this tbh.  not sure why our media is so obsessed with it.  can understand heavy coverage from about a month before the actual booths open, but this pathetic fawning for months and even years over a foreign countries election is fucking embarrassing.  of course i know the outcome greatly impacts our country, but we can have absolutely no effect on the result, so i dont see why it should be so pervasive in our lives.  an average american wouldnt even be able to name our prime minister; probably not even when it was david cameron.  itd be interesting to see if other countries are fixated to the same extent, or if its merely a symptom of the not-so-special relationship.

It dawned on me I didn't have the foggiest of when the election was the other day because it's just been this constant stream of noise for years.

normally i'd agree with you, but this year is extra mental plus, this place excepted, it's everywhere online. i find it quite fascinating, not least because we can see similar splits and polarisation in our own society and politics b2b utter bewilderment at how batshit some americans are.

Lol

Its been the biggest shit flinging contest ever, if everything is to be believed the choice is between a sex crazed womanising racist or a bought and paid for criminal that's barely alive.

And one of them has to win

Do either of them actually have any policies, apart from building a wall? I haven't heard any.

All they seem to do is slag each other off.

This is excellent - bad lip reading does the presidential debate.

Trump = reduce corporation tax.

We can confirm Ecuador cut off Assange's internet access Saturday, 5pm GMT, shortly after publication of Clinton's Goldman Sachs speechs.

US coercion no doubt. They've been pretty resilient so far to US pressure but it seems the Democratic administration are nervous about what is to come.

I'm sure he has contingency plans.

I wouldn't be surprised if they've somehow wangled an extradition (though Ecuador have just said they'll continue to provide support).

Reckon this is linked to RT's accounts being shut down?

Anyone quoting CNN articles in support of Clinton is a fucking tool. They've proven themselves extremely biased. As have most of the main networks and Hollywood, every day its anti-trump bullshit and willful neglect of recent history. Democrat/Republican doesn't matter, the forces behind the scenes are so deep into the system that it'd take a purge to get them out.

All of this is true. Hillary Clinton and those supporting her are the most dangerous threat to Western freedom existing today.

Lol, you're on one aren't you. The second story makes no mention of political affliation and the first is just two guys loitering around with guns in an open carry state, big deal. I'll take 50 backwoods hillbillies that like to shoot traffic signs and BBQ over one Sidney Blumenthal out to ruin people's lives.

Bill Clinton also pardoned domestic terrorists from the FALN in exchange for voter support from Puerto Ricans for Hillary in the Senate. What's worse? Having people that support you that do/plan stupid shit all on their own or pardoning convicted murderers to secure a voter base for your wife?

A vote is a vote is doesn't matter if its from a loon or not, this is political reality, of course subgroups will be pandered to. Clinton regime just takes it that much further.

The Reddit sub is full of comment gems like this:

BREAKING: New Clinton rape allegations from ancient eldritch abomination
"Hillary fondled me and called me a pussy 271,000 years ago," says R'krrk, the Many-Teated Lord of Mental Illness. "Though I have admired her work with Americans United For Change and Haiti, her remarks and bad touches forced me into a deep slumber in my safe space. I awaited this moment to strike, when the harvest moon heralds the moulting season of our kind. Her petrified scales will fashion a glorious hammock for my clutch of congressmen."

What about the people who may be voting Trump but might not admit it when being polled?

Couldn't that skew the picture?

Personally I hope Hillary stays ahead by over 10% in the polls to induce more people to turn out on the other side, much like what happened in the Brexit referendum.
I don't like his ideas on the environment and tax cuts for the rich but obama gave us TPP and constant meddling in the middle east. Plus he might tear the Republican-dominated house apart and expose them for being the self-interested corporate shills they are. Or he could just go Bush XL and flip the fuck out. Such a gamble. Who knows what the 1%'s backlash would be as well?

here's the best site for hopeful americans, both usa and canada, I know of. www.commondreams.org

americans aren't renowned for holding their tongues when asked. the 538 guys know their shit.

so many republicans have denounced him and even stated they'll vote for hillary, which is usually unthinkable. even the mormons have come out in outright condemnation, which could lose him Utah.

last night trump refused to say he would accept the result of the election, pretty much undermining the entire democratic process.

I think that response is being completely overstated. The Democrats were screaming blue murder (literally) in the 2000 election.

If something like that were to happen, he would be entitled to complain if there were irregularities.

Hillary blurting out the US nuclear response time was a far more stupid comment.

If he loses by a wide margin, he should accept the result.

I think we'll look back and laugh at this one day. That such a fucking moron got so close to the most powerful job in the world.

That said, I hope it ruffles a few feathers and proves to be a wake up call for future governments that a growing number of the electorate aren't happy with how politics is running.

there were some irregularities in key floridian wards in 2000, but ultimately the democrats gave in. at no point prior to the election did they decry the whole process.

now, trump's call for poll monitors to prevent a rigged election is having some undesirable effects
