I also agree.

Assuming you are including some sort of toasted bread product of course.

Preferably poached eggs too but I'm easy.

This is correct.

2 x thick white toast (real butter only)
4 x streaky bacon (grilled till crisp)
2 x poached egg (pinch of salt applied to each yolk area)

Bye.

Poached eggs can be dangerous in unskilled hands though. I need to see your eggy credentials before you prepare my breakfast.

I am quite partial to smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, if I go bacon and eggs I'll most likely go full fryup.

My poached egg success rate is near 99% now (Badonde knows).  I eat loads of them, but I think I do prefer a fried egg when ramping with bacon / sausages.

Poached eggs for salmon / eggs royale

Eggs are just fucking great.

That is literally what brought about the topic of this discussion.

It was sensational.

Throw in nice sausage, black pudding, white pudding, haggis, hash browns, tattie scones, grilled tomato, fried bread (shrooms and beans can fuck off tho), then we're talking....

...is this what you want???

Agree with the OP. But really need to add a sizzling sausage or two and some heavily buttered Crosta & Mollica Farina Pugliese.

Slightly undercooked, buttered, peppery scrambled eggs and crispy bacon, yes.

Throw in a couple of sausages though, always space for a bit of sausage.

I absolutely adore both but.... Sauasages > Bacon imo.

3-4 Cumberland Sausages
Hash Browns
Tinned Tomatoes

... is me, nearly every weekend without fail.... breakfast of champions.
Can take or leave eggs tbh.

Ah man, no.  They sit in a pool of nasty weird tomato juice which just infects everything else.

Proper tomatoes or no tomatoes imo.

3 poached eggs w/ avocado on toast is my standard. eat it daily.

gone veggy recently so the avo takes the place of bacon. sacreligious i hear you all cry and i am prepared for the inevitable backlash but dont miss bacon at all tbh, thought i would.

if im feeling decadent i melt some mature cheddar onto the toast also for some added depth of flavour. mmmmmm

Tomatos will get dashed at man if I find them anywhere near my brekkie, tinned or otherwise.

I'd only really have bacon and eggs in a sarnie.

Full fry-up's are better though.

Shakshouka is the realness as well.

Tinned tomatoes are alright if you're having some sort of disgusting gutbuster big plate speshy from a greasy spoon.

2x bacon
2x poached eggs
2x toast
beans
mushrooms

is my weekend standard. Pier tea.

I use my 3-4 sausagaes as a sort of 'dam', protecting my hash browns from getting soggy

I don't care what any of you wristers think, tinned tomatoes are the lick.

Stupid simple really. I could never poach an egg properly before as some cunt once told me to stir the water with a whisk into a fucking whirlpool.

Now I just bubble up some water in a small saucepan with a dash of vinegar and salt. Drop in the egg with all the confidence of some VIP boyz, and wait 2.30mins. Perfect every time.

The fresher the eggs the better I find they hold together.

Yeah I used to do that spinning water thing for years but never worked then me mam told me to use a shallow fry pan and a large round slotted/holed spoon to keep them together at the start. Now theyre perfect every time.

Now I want some

I don't really like poached eggs when they resemble a weird eggy jellyfish. All about poaching pans/silicone cups.

Fresh eggs are key. Reduces the need for vinegar. Also, decanting your egg to a small bowl or ramekin before immersion stops it going all jellyfish.

Yeah freshness is key and I've never witnessed anyone do a successful whirpool. Mine is basically the same but I find that cracking them into a ladle and lowering them in makes for a more intact and blessy egg
