It is not true that everyone's views are of equal worth. That is why people who believe human's lived alongside dinosaurs are ridiculed.

It is not an affront to free speech to block or ignore somebody on a forum. Nobody is suggesting he shouldn't be permitted to say these things. Freedom of speech isn't the freedom to be listened to at all times regardless of what nonsense you are speaking.

I had that same issue, then I opted to just use the full version on my phone and no problem.

George Lucas will continue to cringe and regret giving up his control over his intellectual property.

He's not in any position to cringe about anything until he's finished his thousand year penance for the shite he passed off when he was driving the choo choo.
I'll continue to remind you to read the Extended Universe if you really want authentic SW stories.

I'll pass cheers mate got some shampoo bottle labels need putting into the Dewey system back home.

Fucking. Hell.

Rogue one is a fucking lot. Not gonna put spoilers up but I'm not sure if they could have done anything more in that film... Truly one for the fans

Better than Force Awakens.

Fewer annoying CG characters than TFA in spite of the 'practical effects' hype from JJ about TFA.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon shit can fuck off though.

Unnecessary jumping around locations in the first 30 minutes or so. Extremely hard to follow. Act one does not need a dozen scenes on however many different planets. What is the need for a planet to be part of the story for about 60 seconds when there's already a fair amount to take in?

Also some ropey continuity problems with the action no doubt explained by what's left somewhere on the cutting room floor.

A fair few cringey cliche moments in the dialogue.

8/10, maybe be a 9 if not for the annoying first half hour.

At the start... the constant planet hopping thing was a bit rapid and did annoy me a bit but then... the stories all tied up and I thought it was all something that created some scale

Obviously there were a few cliched dialogue moments but I am not sure how you can go to see a Star Wars film and not expect some element of that

They really gave the characters some depth too I felt... and I really liked the fact they showed that the Rebellion had a slightly scummy aspect to them as opposed to being all wonderful, good and wholesome.

Without spoiling, some of the good CGI was pretty spooky.

The ending was different to any other film in the franchise so far which I liked  - about half way through I had a split second 'please not this shit again' feeling about what might happen.

The CGI characters was the most realistic CGI I've ever seen, was pretty sceptical when i heard about it. Great film. Highlight Vader slaughtering rebels at the end lol.

Agree with that, went with a friend as the Mrs really is not in to it and we said that coming out. I think it was needed however at the time it felt rushed and confusing

Best film since the original trilogy

Was dissapointed we didn't see the Emperor, was sure he would be in it especially after they kept mentioning him. These incredibly realistic CGI characters will blatantly become popular now, they will be keeping actors alive years after they die. Kind of makes me wonder if they couldn't have just done the young Han Solo movie with a CGI Harrison Ford.

That ending has to be one of the greatest ever Star Wars moments. Was almost like a scene from a horror movie. Vader is such a lad.

1. Empire Strikes Back
2. Return Of The Jedi
3. A New Hope
4. Revenge Of The Sith
5. The Force Awakens
6. Rogue One
7. The Phantom Menace
8. Attack Of The Clones

Very hard for me to the put them in a list really as they are all my favourite movies apart from Blade Runner. My ideal Star Wars movie would definitely have lightsaber battles and more force powers so if only for that reason i'd have it below most of the others. It makes sense to give the spin offs a slightly different theme though. This movie certainly looked like the original trilogy anyway, they completely nailed everything graphically. That Star Destroyer smashing into another one

Yep.

Great film. Want to watch them all again..... apart from the Phantom abortion.

Really need to watch the Clone War series too.

Watched epIV straight before going to the cinema last night. Glad I did, it gives the whole thing much more context and shows how right they got the ending of Rogue One. (although thinking about it too hard shows up a few continuity things).

It's really fucking good. I liked how it gradually turns up the Star Wars dial throughout the film until the final 3rd when it's pretty much at 11 with ATATs and XWings everywhere. Showing the Rebellion as being imperfect and fallible was a good touch and having an extremist faction on the outside let the film stand on its own rather than trying too hard to belong to the SW saga.

Wasn't really sold on the CGI thing but got used to Tarkin after a while. The Leia one was much better executed. And the Vader scene at the end was too much. Definitely up there with one of the best scenes in the entire franchise.

The more I think about the more I think it's excellent that they are all wiped out at the end. Goes against the grain with too much of Hollywood.

If only fucking Jar Jar was there lol

Real talk. I kinda knew it was going to end that way from the outset though from when it is mentioned in A New Hope

"Do you know how many lives this cost" or something like that when they are discussing the death star plans.

It was pretty emosh.

They should do a spin off where it is entirely about Jar Jar being ruthlessly tortured over three 2 hour films. The worst thing about any star wars film ever

Yeah they had to die really. I liked the callback to Luke & Leia at the end of Empire when Jyn & matey were standing on the beach as the planet explodes in front of them, same music etc.

That moment when it's pitch black with the alarm going off and the red saber lights up and Vader is standing there on the big screen was probably one of my favourite scenes in movie history. It was absolutely sick. I left the cinema with a huge smile. They finally got it right.
