Watched the Last Jedi a couple of days ago and honestly it felt like a parody more than a Star Wars film. Found it really laughable. Very weird.

I watched it again and didn't enjoy it as much, its a frustrating film with what they could have done. I think its probably my least favourite

couple of sick scenes though. the one where that old lesbo kamikazes through the destroyer and it falls silent and when Rey clicks her fingers in the cave.

I quite like the bit when Luke was sucking on that mountain cow things nipple.

Finally watched the Last Jedi.

The first 45 mins were kind of slow, but I really enjoyed it. I’m glad I watched it at home because it was way too long.

Doubt i’ll watch it again anytime soon, but it was better than Force Awakens.

Maybe. Who really cares. Not something I would be bothered to argue. They’re both pretty similar films.

These are rolling around so often now a lot of the magic and hype is fading.

Solo is the first Star Wars film ever I'm not bothered about seeing on opening night. I'll probably catch it at some point but it's not one of those goosebump trailers that you look forward to seeing for weeks.

I’ve read the word ‘fun’ quite a lot in the initial reactions I’ve seen. Will probably go see it as soon as it comes out to be fair, I can’t help myself.

Also apparently John Favreau is doing a live action series set between episodes 6 and 7, will be out in 2020. Will probably be exclusive to the forthcoming Disney streaming service. So that’s a thing that is happening.

real danger of over saturation unless they can make all of these things different enough tonally from one another imo

marvel have done a good job of giving lots of their individual films distinct personality, i hope disney give the star wars brand the same freedom

The legacy has been tarnished. Now I see Star Wars films in the same way I see Marvel films: Oh great, another fucking cash cow. Who the fuck cares?

Think they're gonna find it hard to do that successfully, far too many fanboys will have a massive cry about anything that isn't trying to be episode 4-6. Marvel have the advantage of 75+ years of comic book lore to draw from with a huge wealth of well established characters, plus a bloke in charge of the whole thing with a clear vision for what's going to happen.

Guess we'll find out if they can manage it or not, they're clearly gonna flog it to death.

One disappointing movie isnt anywhere near enough to tarnish Star Wars, another couple and I'll agree. Doesn't seem to be much hype or advertising for Solo so far.

Star Wars has definitely become the new ‘Fast & Furious’

Chewbacca has to be in every film to sell more fluffy toys and T-shirts. You’ll have actors like the The Rock playing a Jedi soon.

Guardian gave it 4/5 and IGN 7/10. I’m remaining hopeful even though this has always been the one I’m least interested in.

Solo is fucking loads better than I'd expected. Different feel for a star wars flick but I properly enjoyed it. No 'ugh that's a bit shit' moments like in epVIII (even VII had a few), plenty of trilogy Easter eggs, and Lando is brilliant. And the unexpected thing towards the end was very interesting. VG++

I saw it last night and enjoyed it. I wondered whether the choice of actor playing Han would have bothered me but the pace of the action and storyline kept me entertained throughout. Good to see lots of Chewie. A 7/10 from me.
