The Aldi beer festival had 18 different beers in.

If anyone goes into there the Pale Ale from Titanic is amazing as is the Hop Monster and Two Tribes.

Yeah I went to Aldi last week and spotted all these different ales. Bought a whole bunch of 'em. One was an APA could Mid-Atlantic or something - properly delicious.

There were loads of good ones. One called A-hop-alypse Now was disappointing though. Not really hoppy at all.

i don't have a beard!

i have a small amount of hair on my face due to the immense quantity of testosterone coursing through my veins b2b abject laziness but it's not a "beard".

anyway what happens at beer festivals? i'm expecting Chas and Dave and a lot of dreadful pricks with beards.

I thought snakey was a big hairy fella. I apologise

Your description of a beer festival is pretty accurate for the ones I've been to

It used to just be Chas and Dave and a load of middle aged men in leather jackets with Bill Bailey haircuts. That was ok but I suspect it's now what you just described.

That Mid-Atlantic was the one i was on about - i went back and got another 10 bottles as it was so nice.

That a-hop-alypse now was poor though

There is a nang pub in Deptford called The Bird's Nest where all pints are £2.50 between 5-7pm.

I went there the other day and drank 1,000 pints of this and died

If you see a can of this stuff anywhere - drink the fuck out of it. So delicious.

(not my pic by the way - I know how to pour beer)

Lemon dream - salopian brewery
Schneider Weisse Tap 7 - wheat beer
Bloody El - beavertown proper strength 7.5% ipa
Any cider from Snails Bank - Hertfordshire

My mate's home brewed American ipa which is excellent for something made in an airing cupboard and will be on sale soon hopefully.

Yep. Lucky most of the hipster craft places serve it in 1/3rd's

Or can go the opposite round here and get some Castle Rock Black Gold down you. 3.8% Mild. Proper session beer and goes down like silk.
