Great strategy to release the reports stating how fcked we are for Brexit AFTER the vote.
Just incase May & Davis needed any extra help with looking like a div in the EU talks, all this does in further weaken our hand...cant see any postivity from it other then Remainers being able to say 'told you so'

If there was any good news about Brexit, that report wouldn’t weaken the UK’s negotiations, on the contrary it would strengthen their position.
So this just confirms how fucking dumb Brexit is. They don’t want Junker & Barnier to know how dilated their arsehole is.

Any thoughts on this associate EU citizenship idea that is floating about?

That would be a touch if you could opt in and have the right to live and work in the EU. I'm sure they'd want reciprocity though which is where I see it falling down. That and "two tiers" of UK passport.

Interesting thread on Brexit, although the guy seems v. pro-europe and not sure what his credentials actually are.

But it seems to resonate with the general reporting of the gov's approach to brexit

I'd become a citizen of Wallonia over the UK right now

Mr Vickers said the possibility of free trade status for northern Lincolnshire’s ports was a sign of post-Brexit optimism.

James Dyson on a post Brexit UK: It should be easier to hire and fire and Corporation Tax should be eliminated #Marr

No, it shouldn't. Waiting two years for full workers rights is already excessive and should return to one year. Just about acceptable in an horrific depression, not in economic "peacetime".

So it has now become common knowledge that Russian backed social media accounts had an influence on the Brexit vote and potentially the last election.

No one seems to care.

Been obvious for a very long time. People love social media, people love having groups of others they can follow with the same perspective, people rarely factcheck and all these platforms are wide open to bots, trolls, paid account farms and targeted adverts, plus these corporations (hardly websites anymore) know more about most people than people do themselves.

Facebook knows when you're awake, asleep, who your friends are, what you talk about via fb/messenger/whatsapp/instagram. What you post, what posts you like, what you follow, it records your location, how long you go to places who else goes there.. the list is endless. We are simply data for algorithms these days, and with the money and know how these website/apps that a mass % of the populations are addicted to are the new battleground for propaganda and influence.

It's fascinating yet soul destroying at the same time

The thought that some professional Russian troll saw that picture of the Muslim woman on her phone during the London Bridge attacks and chucked that social hand grenade into the UK makes my blood boil.

Infuriating that the twats that reacted to it would consider themselves "patriotic" when in reality they are being useful idiots
