recommend an outdoor speaker

Looking to get something for the garden now the weather is starting to improve. Ideally WiFi rather than bluetooth but open to either. Has anyone got something they've got and recommend? Not really looking to spend too much on it, maybe <£150

Sweet. How far can you get from the source before the connection drops?

Nobody on here will have tried the bluetooth version because it's not out until Wednesday. The sound is absolutely quality though.

Tempted with a mini rig myself. They do look sturdy too. For that price Id want to last 10 years. Anyone had problems with it breaking/blowing?

The building quality is superb. Mine has lasted something like 4 years without any problems whatsoever. Initially I was worried when it said the battery was only good for 500 charges or whatever but you hardly ever need to charge it. The battery lasts FOREVER.

Ive had a mini rig for a couple of years. Love it, theyre proper sturdy, sound great, battery life is decent. Its cool when there are a few of you with them, you can link them together, add subs etc

If you're desperate run the amazon minirig link through flubit. They'll link you with a merchant and save you about a tenner in the process.

If you want best all round sound, bass, range and quality for less than 150 you wont get better than a UE BOOM.

Not to be confused with the ue BoomBOX, its easily the best portable speaker ive seen for the price. Durable as fuck, 50 ft range, can be paired with multiple devices, and the sound is crazy loud.

Minirig. Confirmed as snow proof, sand proof, pisshead proof and most recently sheep poo proof.

Do any of these devices come with a Bluetooth transmitter to send the audio to the device or do they all rely on directly connecting a bluetooth-ready music source?

Basically I want to send whatever music is playing through my AV amp rather than just having it as a lone speaker connected to my iPad. And my AV amp doesn't have built in Bluetooth. I overlooked that.

Went for the Sony SRS X5 in the end. I think they're normally £120 but I managed to find a customer return one on eBay for £80.

The bass on it is incredible, pleased so far.

Used that sony thing and found the performance on battery, and the battery life itself to be really poor. Made the wrong choice imo.
