I’m sure Bibi is delighted with that cretin going at him. Easy work to point out his rank hypocrisy.

I’m sure Mohammed Bin Salman’s silence after telling Palestinians recently that they should “shut up” per his new uneasy anti-Iranian alliance with Israel is going down well with the faithful.

Erdogan has gone off at netanyahu on twitter

''Netanyahu is the PM of an apartheid state that has occupied a defenseless people's lands for 60+ yrs in violation of UN resolutions.

He has the blood of Palestinians on his hands and can't cover up crimes by attacking Turkey.

Want a lesson in humanity? Read the 10 commandments''

Heads of state beefing on Twitter is something I'll never get used to. So bizarre.

I'm still confused by Israelis cheering the anti-semitic US pastor who has stated that all Jews are going to hell whilst he led the prayers at the Embassy opening.

Don’t all religions think this? Another clear and demonstrable reason why it’s a load of shit.

Jungle Dave
Anyone want to risk being branded a raging anti semite and stick their necks out about it really not being OK to fire live ammunition at protesters?

A 14 year old, a medic, a guy in a wheelchair ("he was throwing stones!") all fucking browners amongst fifty odd others.

This seeming international paralysis when it comes to the behaviour of the right in Israel is madness.

A quarter of those “protestors” have now been claimed as martyrs belonging to Hamas security services and “Palestinian Islamic Jihad”.

There are two sides to every story, even if I think it was well OTT by Israel.

Listen to what Hamas themselves have said about it:

https://twitter.com/memrireports/status/996365500308492291

“When you have weapons and are able to capture and kill the enemy...this is not peaceful resistance”.

Of course there are two sides, only the most committed and passionate (read 'potentially crazed') people would protest when the people on the other side have live rounds. That's exactly what the Israeli government is counting on, keep up the horrific pressure and people will eventually move out.

The only thing that would tip the balance is if Palestine became as useful to international money makers as Israel. Very hard to find any reasons to be optimistic.

Criticism of Israel does not imply criticism of Israelis. It's horrible what Israeli kids go through, being fed a diet of fear and weird supremacy messages, then forced to go through a desensitisation/indoctrination process of military service when they leave school. Seems shit all round.

It's a bit like when a couple murder their baby and you think "there are two sides to this, its crying was probably really annoying".

Hamas have been trying to start talks on a long-term ceasefire for a while now but Bibi refuses to negotiate with them.

a man who for months this year pointedly turned aside the pleas of senior army brass, who repeatedly urged Netanyahu to act immediately to address a crippling humanitarian crisis in Gaza – lest the Strip boil over into mass unrest. They gave ample evidence of the dismal plight of Gaza's two million residents, driven to new depths of desperation by high unemployment, infrastructure collapse and lack of opportunity.

Netanyahu's response? Banning officials from using the term "humanitarian crisis."

Yeah, they proposed one last week but Netanyahu has his own problems and is probably quite relieved by the distraction - awful as it sounds.

At the end of the day, 0 Israelis were hurt or killed versus 1000+ Palestinians - it is impossible to make a case that the use of force was reasonable.

The narrative that these were all peaceful protestors also needs challengingw. A number of the dead were terrorists, claimed already by various Islamist groups. Hamas were exorting their followers to invade Israeli territory and kidnap Israelis.

Idiots. Bolton actually seriously advocated the “Libya approach”. I can’t think why the North Koreans haven’t gone for it. Surely they must be queuing up to lose their weapons only for the head of the regime to end up being sodomised and pulled apart in a ditch.

North Korea singles out John Bolton by name for criticism, and in the process refers to itself as a nuclear state:

"It is absolutely absurd to dare compare the DPRK, a nuclear weapon state, to Libya which had been at the initial stage of nuclear development."

They're all religious fucking nut-jobs trying to bring about the Rapture and find their way to heaven by instigating a 3rd World War in the middle east

Nothing to do with the fact that Gaza is an open air prison camp with undrinkable water, couple of hours of leccy a day, no jobs and no future.

Give a people nothing to live for and they will see themselves as having nothing to lose.  As above even the Israeli army recognises this...

It’s a total cop out but I tend to stay away from the Israel/Palestinian debates. Instinctively I agree with the Palestinians but I have a lot of Jewish friends who post interesting things up on Facebook on both sides of the argument and it is a total minefield because it goes back so many years that you wonder if progress can actually be made. Israeli defenders will always insist they are defending themselves from Hamas and aggression, many will have been impacted by some historical terrorist attack, but they employ questionable and agressive defence in return. Palestinians rightfully just want a better life but are tarred with the Hamas brush

You can't deny that the Israelis have been through it.

Yet it's impossible to justify the treatment of the inhabitants of Gaza.

If you were born into that strip of land, no matter what your levels of empathy or instinct to survive might be you would be incensed and highly motivated to resist the occupation. After all- what would you have to lose except a future of poverty and humiliation? Not only for you- but also for your children?

They're really appealing to the youth with that music line-up. I think I'd actually rather see a Michael Gove "Wham Rap" live PA than Reverend and the Makers.

^^^That? To be honest long-term they have no chance, they're just trying to push back as much as possible in order to extract as many concessions as they can. All Trump has to do is say 'no preconditions' and then ask for disarmament in exchange for a peace treaty, economic aid etc. Not that easy really but I don't want to be melted by a big bomb
