Corbyn thinks Sally Jones should be "put on trial". 😂

Does he think you can just wander into Deir Azzor and make a citizen's arrest?

Yes, allegedly.

Jez thinks she should have been put on trial because you "get more information that way."

I wonder why no one thought of arresting jihadists in ISIL territory threatening and orchestrating terrors attacks on the UK mainland earlier?

It's the text book answer to those in a position where they feel that murder should never be condoned.

Well she was heading for the Iraq border attempting to flee. They could have caught her there.

Unfortunately this is the real world and she has been charging around Raqqa with a Kalashnikov assault rifle making terror threats against the UK whilst trying to recruit terrorists to Syria and in the U.K.

I'm not sure a 5 o clock knock with a warrant is practical in this instance.

Be that as it may, I'm not sure I'm entirely comfortable with the vaporising of her 12 year old son.

dunno but I know I seemed to have a big advert that followed me everywhere.

And I don't think much of the sterling drop was really about the vote just more of the speculators doing it themselves to make shit loads of money from doing so.

why hasn't sterling recovered then? lots more money to be made on a recovery

Playing a long game maybe? And waiting till we finallly leave the eu to make that killing on the markets. It all seems complicated but i keep having black wednesday in my mind and thinkin that the traders in europeay be doing this on purpose.
who knows.

One thing is for sure is that no one yet knows what deal we may or may not strike nor what the future holds and its all speculation-which is what currency traders do isnt it-speculate?

Very sad of course but a price worth paying.

It is contentious whether she herself is dead, never mind her 12 year old son. The Americans seem to think she's still alive.

Those who had portfolios balanced towards the UK market will have lost money. Those who were buying sterling denominated stocks when the £ was at it's lowest will have gained since it's climbed again. Those who had bets both ways that would allow them to benefit from high flux in the markets generally will have gained as per.

However the investors are also us. We have our money in banks, ISAs, pensions whatever... it's our money too. Investors aren't just some shady third party, so while some cynicism is healthy I don't think it's worth getting too pessimistic.

Brexit is a risk, risk spooks investment, lack of investment stunts growth - and there's a risk that this can turn into a vicious cycle and investors are aware of that. I think it's one of those where the simply answer is the right one personally - it's quite possible for things to be a bit shit without a big conspiracy going on.

The fall in Sterling is not due to any kind of concerted currency speculation. The UK has had a credit rating downgrade, a GDP/productivity downgrade and there is real uncertainty over political stability and Brexit negotiations.

But those big institutions who we have pensions with wont touch the volatile currency markets because ita just hat - volatile and can be fucked at a whim as black wednesday showed us.

Weve just had an amnouncement about the railways for cp6 which is big numbers again so shows incestment from big firms and their backers has to come. So ita govt investment which should lead to an upturn as that is what youve just said wont happen.

And this is another bugbear of mine in that we rely on these credit agencies whose sole role in life is to cause fucking mayhem on their whim

In 2012 it was estimated 21 Trillion dollars was stashed away in offshore accounts

It's now estimated at more like 60-70 trillion - Let that figure sink in, that's how easy it is to make someone disappear.
