Who cares? You don't need to ask to play a song. Bland virtue signalling for publicity.

'Virtue signalling'...get back to T_D with that wanker chat. If you were an artist and someone you didn't agree with politically used your art, it's pretty understandable to come out and say you don't approve of it's use. Distance yourself from the association. If it came out that ISIS were bopping along to Renegade Snares, would you call it 'virtue signalling' for Rob to say he didn't approve? It's really not hard to comprehend

I'd use the Americanism "butt-hurt". Generally few artists are right wing. Frida Karlo for instance. If the Tories tried getting musicians to endorse them they'd probably have the same problems as Trump for his inauguration concert.

Either way, going after the energy companies to control the prices was Ed Miliband's idea and he was derided as "Red Ed" taking us back to the dark ages of the 70s, "COMMUNIST!" etc. Treseme has just repackaged it (albeit with a cap rather than a freeze) in a blue box and tried to sell it as a Tory idea

While effusing about the free market in the same speech. She doesn't know if she's coming or going. Mounting pressure on her to resign but there is no one standing out who could take over. Her arrogance over Brexit (assuming the whole country wanted hard Brexit, not allowing any scrutiny over her strategy) and the campaign (wooden, refusing to debate, awful manifesto) have fucked her and the whole party which looks like it's on life support.

The Office for Budget Responsibility (LOL) has been over estimating productivity for the last 7 years so the economy is performing worse than we though it was

I see Wiltshire Police, those raging bell-ends who were threatening twitter uses with dawn raids through their badly spelled twitter account have today basically acknowledged that they fudged and ignored serious sexual abuse complaints spanning many years against Ted Heath.

This might sound like an "oh dear, what a joke" but these sorts of errors obviously cause loads of problems elsewhere. Different EU countries use subtly different methods for calculating output etc, and the results are used to decide how much each gets back from the EU. Lots of manipulation going on. Look at the way bailout/rescue funds were dished out after 2008...

this government is so fucked they're basically just winging it in every instance while getting relentlessly called out for how embarrassing it all is. At some point there has to be a move toward a motion of no confidence.

I mean Theresa May is just a broken person, she looks and acts as if she's ready to top herself in every speech, you're half expecting her to read the wrong note one time and start wheeling off about how much better of everyone will be with her gone. Its hard to watch

I think 20 or so tory MPs have already voiced their opposition to May today. Thing Is, vote of no confidence needs 40 or something doesn't It? None of the pro Brexit Mps want rid of her

It's because no one wants to take on the job, apart from a few extreme mental hard brexiters.

Looks increasingly like we aren't going to get any deal at all and will have to move to WTO rules. Expect Sterling to tank unless this Catalan situation escalates to offset it.

Our government are being useless and the EU are being dicks. We have been a net contributor to the EU for all but one of 40 odd years. Not one issue has been resolved as yet.

I'm also referring to the media, back in the day the media would typically hound someone that was wounded politically until they jacked/were sacked. Now the media almost seems to treat idiots like Johnson or Gove (there's clearly room for more names on this list) like godawful grotesque celebrities of some description, as magnets for vitriol or partisan appreciation that purely sell papers or boost ratings. So they'll give them a savaging or props, then they go quiet for a bit- then get recycled in yet another outrage

Indeed, although she is the Queen of "la la la I can't hear you", I was thinking more about the Moggs, Goves and Johnsons of the world. Johnson's comments on Sirte were astonishing, never in a million years would I have thought I'd witness something so crass and demeaning for the UK

Insensitive but blown out of all proportion imo. I think people assumed he was talking about Cameron's intervention rather than the Libyan security services siege of ISIS there which happened recently.

Still, if you've recently rained Hellfire missiles down on somewhere probably better to engage brain first.

He is a SENIOR member of the UK government, not only that he is the foreign sec. This is far from being blown out of proportion, it's his job to be diplomatic. He's our "top" diplomat!

The latest study by five researchers from institutes based in Montreal, Canada, examined the lives of 1,136 men and women who were patients at psychiatric hospitals in Missouri, Pittsburgh and Massachusetts.
Records were gathered from interviews carried out every ten weeks for a year after their discharge.
It said patients who were using cannabis at each of these five checks were nearly two-and-a-half times more likely to have turned to violence than those who had not used the drug.
The study pointed to ‘significant findings regarding the adverse effects of cannabis use on violence’.
