Loved Gale's little song and begging to make meth for Gus lol

I've got his little song stuck in my head now haha

Minus the actual words though...I'm not that clever

When I was a kid of about 11 or 12 years old I watched a BBC program about the periodic table- it was QED or Horizon I think- in Science class.

At the beginning, is Gale's little song, being sung by some sort of Harvard geek. I'll try and dig it out. We were singing it for a few weeks afterwards. Little twats.

yeah... all he needs is his license back and that office

loved the opening showing how him and kim have drifted apart

and gus halting hector's health care to keep him 'there, but not really there' is one of the darkest things I've seen. and he seems to have basically bankrolled a new wing at johns hopkins to do it too! crazy

i strongly suspect kai won't last next week's episode

really strong episode. one of the best to date. the scene between kim and jimmy on top of the car park was really hard to watch

can't believe another series of this is almost over

The Don Hector storyline is troubling me. Why wouldnt the salamanca family just carry on paying for his treatment? Surely they would speak to the doctors? Or at least pay for him to be in a top notch care facility.

They obviously are suspicious of Gus. So why would they have just left the decision on his care up to him?

This bit bothers me too. But perhaps they don’t know any better? Or perhaps they want rid of him too but could never make a move, so this is the best bet, despite their suspicions about Gus?

Gus paid for a new wing at the hospital from what I can gather meaning he has access to whoever he wants in the hospital however then limited Hectors treatment when he had the Dr round for dinner. He controls the hospital.

I like how they show 10 minutes of just getting up and staggering around making orange juice etc, such clever sophisticacted writing that only real intelligent guys like us would appreciate/understand

I think this it what makes it so tense and more life like, too many other shows seem to jump from action to action with little happening in between.

Great episode, so much going on.

I haven't started watching this yet because I assumed it would be entirely the sort of self-indulgent tripe that Horsey Boy described.

Yes I understand all this.

There aren't other hospitals? They wouldn't speak to the doctors themselves and find out that Gus just told them to give up?

"Oh yes, the man who ran a rival drug cartel and had a lifetime vendetta against him is certainly the best placed man to arrange his long term rehabilitation and care."

Best not to think about it too much really.

He isn’t/wasn’t a rival was he?

Unless I’ve gone terribly wrong, I thought they were all part of the same cartel. Salamanca’s were muscle, Fring was distro and there was a guy that’s the head of the cartel.

Fring wasn’t happy with the Salamanca’s but wasnt a direct rival?

yeah they are all one crew. they just aren't aware of Gus fully yet and hes made it look like he saved him if anything.
they are suspicious hence why theyre digging around but aren't aware of the level Gus is playing.

brilliant episode. jimmy really had me believing it too at the end! kim's face was just perfect. brilliant scene.

and mike and werner in the desert... jeez

where's nacho though??

can't believe that's it for another year or so. as sad as it'd make me feel, i'd be surprised if the next season wasn't the last

i definitely wouldn't say it's better than BB - seems like a very typically guardian clickbait headline - but it is very good. evolved beautifully. the pacing is immaculate

amazing to think it was originally sold in just as a half hour comedy where every week he helped a new client out of some zany legal snafu

Its too different from it to be called better than Breaking Bad, but it is excellent and I think I enjoy it more.

There's an element of tragedy in it all that is properly gripping.
