@ Coffee Heads

Do any of you coffee heads subscribe to any of these coffee by post things? I'm a bit of a newb.

I'm tempted by Pact as it comes with a free Hario V60. Otherwise most of my coffee will be made in my rig (espresso machine). Up until now I've just been using supermarket coffee but after a couple of days the taste fades so am now looking to grind myself. Have just ordered a Hario skerton burr grinder so looking for a subscription service for the beans. It seems like there are loads to choose from and I've particularly heard great things about Kopi.

Anyone have any recommendations or places to avoid?

I tried Pact, i though the first pack they sent me was horrible so I cancelled it.

I'm lucky as i work around the corner from this place so I get everything there.

I know nothing about mail order stuff but i'd recommend ordering a few 500g packs of beans from there and seeing how you get on. 500g will last a while unless you're a proper fiend.

hand grinding is fucking wack. so long when you just want a cup of coffee. had one for a while and chucked it away, couldnt be bothered.

got one of these for xmas: http://www.krups.co.uk/coffee-grinder-gvx231 and it is bad boy.

beans wise i just tend to go to decent coffee shops as they always have beans for sale from various roasteries. went on holiday to italy over the summer and found an amazing little family run roastery that does mailorder so am just gonna start getting it from there. will be pricey but the coffee is amazing

That looks like a serious bit of kit. I've got the deLonghi ECC220, which is fairly basic, but £400 cheaper.

Have heard very good things about these beans, but Sainsbury's don't deliver them to my area & never have them in stock at the local store..!

Any branches in London that stock them?

I have an aero press and in all honesty I used it for a little bit but just can't be bothered. Its fairly straight forward but still a faff to use. I also can't really taste the difference between it and a cafetière.

Also been using Kopi coffee subscription for a few months and can recommend it. Good quality coffee and like the fact I get a different flavour through every month. Comes in nice packaging and has a load of info where it comes from, how it's made and tastes like.

Looks like an exact copycat of the Pact business model. Without any new features or competitive offerings

Hopefully better coffee than Pact though, the free bag I had from them was awful.
    Might give it a go.
