It’s not that bad guysh, company has a box there, I can buy tickets to go. I am not doing so because I can only take one guest, and despite like the idea of a nice sit down, it would be thoroughly dull.

Haven’t been to a rave in years and I’ve been getting the urge quite a bit lately. Trouble is, I’m too reckless on nights out like that and I know I’ll ruin my life somehow.  Miss being younger, no responsibilities other than getting myself home alive at some point, after gurning like a warrior in some random fuckers kitchen for days.

Miss that a lot actually.

Big factor for me in still being able to enjoy club nights is that I was only ever there for the music anyway, I never cared much about socialising. There used to be an element of trying to pull a girlfriend but I nailed that down a long time ago, and it was always secondary to the tunes anyway.

Not much beats that feeling when you walk into a club and the bass washes over you. It’s rejuvenating, I love it.

Swear the McCann cunts used some of the previous funding to pay off their mortgage.

How often I really miss being young, getting on pills going raving, ending up at some randoms house with a load of people etc. Nothing can compete with the highs experienced doing that and trying to replicate it just makes me feel sick and too old for it. Even my raving renaissance about 5-7 years ago is starting to feel like a distant memory. I don't feel depressed about it or anything but it gives me a melancholy feeling knowing how everything is a bit dull in comparison and you can never recapture those highs. I think being too old for all that makes me feel older than I am as I used to live for all that. Hearing certain tunes or sets brings it all back.

Learn to code and write an indie game, would be a different kind of buzz but more satisfying.

I've done some very basic modelling, it's extremely fucking long when you only have a vague idea of what you're doing tbh. I can appreciate that it is a great feeling to sit back and admire your handywork but I don't think it's a good alternative to raving, nevermind coding lol.

I guess football is a current socially acceptable alternative, away days with the lads, bantz, 10 pints and a few lines, the chance of a ruck and ending the night in a cool strippy??

It's a good idea essentially, if you don't want to deal with the aftermath of getting smashed on the weekend then it does suggest that you need to look into new avenues. Video game development is just a bit on the tedious side to say the least though.

Something that gives you an adrenaline rush would be a more appropriate alternative imo. Motorsports, skydiving, ballet performances in prisons... something along those lines.

I went to Andy c at warehouse project recently. I felt quite old, but after a few beers and a cocktail of drugs I had a great time. I get why people aren't into it anymore and I only manage maybe 5 or 6 big nights a year, but at the end of every one I think to myself I wish I could do it more often. Definitely not lost the love yet.

I don't go out too often but I still love it. I probably go to better nights and enjoy the music more than my heyday. The only real problem is a lot of my friendship group have moved away. It used to be great rocking up in a massive group and meeting friends of friends who were all sound. Now there's no more exciting after parties, just sitting around the same living rooms waiting to die with the same small group.
