You can normally change the cup size on those "kettles" so that it pours your desired amount of water, same with nespresso's.

I take my backpack when I'm doing food shops.

Men wearing backpacks at anytime other than actually backpacking.

This is a bit silly. What's your alternative?

It's just the most practical option for most occasions.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Nespresso. Decent coffee made stupidly easy.

I hate wearing one but it's essential when I'm on call.

+1

Obviously a proper machine is better but it's too much effort, too much cleaning and the coffee goes out of date when I've got most of the bag left.

For work I use a Manhattan Portage messenger shoulder bag to carry my laptop, paperwork and other stuff.

If I'm going out and staying round a mates I'll use a backpack and I try to take it with me when I go shopping as well so I don't have to use plastic carrier bags.

The Nespresso machine is just too easy - that's what I love about it. Wake up, need a kick up the backside to get moving - slam a pod in the thing, press the button - perfectly good tasting espresso in about 10 seconds. I'm pretty fucking lazy in the morning so can't allow getting out the aeropress and fucking about grinding up beans, etc.

Put some of these in your jacket/car.

Do you drive your car to the checkout?

Put your fridge on a trolley with a car battery attached for power. Push that around the supermarket and load it up with food and then wheel it home - completely negating the need for any bags whatsoever.

No I push a trolly or carry a basket. Where are you guys shopping where you don't get a choice of both? Food then goes in a carrier bag like normal people and is either carried to my boot or pushed in a trolly.
No need for a rucksack and what I can only assume then getting on public transport rather than the comfort of a car

I mean yeah, I just buy the carrier bags lol, but I assume some people use a backpack to take the shopping from the shop to their car, to save buying the carrier bags?  Who knows!

I don't use a backpack for food shopping ffs - I meant like if I'm going shopping for clothes or shoes or whatever. Then you don't need to load up with those properly wasteful carrier bags from the stores. Also, carrying stuff about in a backpack is way more comfortable than loads of shopping bags.

People who don't drive. My mate will go to pick up some draw and a kebab then get on the bus stinking the place out, the levels of peasantry are very high. Public transport disgusts me.
