Did the Nigeria World Cup gear go on sale and sell out already?

Really fancy one of these tops-

Anyone seen one online anywhere? Everywhere seems to say either sold out or coming soon. Cheers

So arsenal are buying the defensive midfielder they've needed for the last 10 years.

Good start.

We’re signing Hutton, can’t wait to see him boxing up his old man in my local on a Friday night

Just need Chimbomba and Assou Ekkoto for the full "spurs ten years past it" back line.

He has been alright for us... my problem with him is that he just runs off and hoofs the ball into oblivion. His crossing and passing is woeful and the ball just ends up with the opposition

Defensively he is ok(ish) but football has come a long way from dispossessing a player, steaming down the wing with the ball and inexplicably rassing it into the sky for no reason. Bless him.

He is a jock though man so to be expected.

As long as he can defend ok and pass it to someone creative I’ll be happy.

Did get mugged off in the play off final for that goal along with JT though

He will steam up the pitch and blaze it somewhere more often than pass it to someone creative. If you lot can stop him doing that... it is a good capture for you

He just switches off though which is also a concern... but not as bad as him gifting possession all the time

I'm not bothered about him going tbh, it's time for Bree to step up. He was sick on footy manager last season lol.

god it was McLOL who signed Hutton for us 7 years ago. Somehow Spurs got about £8 million out of us for him too. Junk player.

Same... Hutton can be replaced fairly easily imo and we need to get him off the wage bill. If only we could get Micah and McCormack gone too.

Apparently the Spanish FA new knew about it only 5 minutes before it was announced, and their request to delay it until after the World Cup was ignored lol.

Shame the opening game is likely going to be the worst of the tournament? Not that I know anything about either of them but they are the two lowest ranked teams, hopefully it's at least an open game. If always prefer the hosts to stay in as long as possible.

Re: RE: FOOTBALL TALK & SPECULATION 2018/06/14 09:50:23 (permalink)
I'm pretty fucking excited about the World Cup. Nothing better than football on the TV constantly. Just have a gut feeling that this will be far better than the last couple. Brazil was OK at times, but South Africa was shit wasnt it?

I can't remember the last time it was so open either. Everyone fancies Brazil but although they're in good form and look solid, they're not exactly the attacking, free flowing Brazil we've come to expect. Germany will be there as always - they have the experience and talent but some of their best players have been in poor form or injured half the season (Reus, Neur, Ozil etc). For once they don't have an out and out striker who is guaranteed goals either (no Klose or Gomez).

I like France. Other than Spain they probably have the most exciting, talented young squad.

I probably fancy Spain for it just because of their ridiculous squad depth, especially in midfield. Kind of hoping France click and players like Dembele, Griezmann and Mbappe smash everyone to bits.

Brazil was great for the group stages. A fuck tonne of goals and loads of beautiful ones as well. Then it got really defensive for the knock-outs, which were really shit. Even the Brazil-Germany semi-final was a shit game really.

Argentina to win it with Messi scoring a million goals and beating Portugal in the final after Ronaldo gets crushed by a flying Fat LOL (whom will be launched from a cannon from the beautiful white cliffs of Dover) while celebrating what he thinks is the winning goal.

It would be sick to see Messi lift the trophy, especially if he's smashed it the whole tournament. There could be no debate anymore after that.
