Just watched that Adam penalty now. Not a bad penalty tbf but the keeper guessed right and got a good hand on it. Fucking LOL at his slow motion trot for the follow up though. I hate that cunt so much.

All those times he tried to break Bale's legs

it's all set for us to storm the league next year and do a Leicester. Wouldn't mind nicking Joe Allen.

Do a Leicester? ... You want to spend the first few months rock bottom of the league and finish 14th? If you want to truly 'do a leicester', Brucie also needs to strangle a Norwich city midfielder at some point.

i should have just said it's all set for us to win the league, but it sounded too silly actually saying it

He got away with breaking Fabregas's face to peices as well. He then scored some ludicrous lob so they didn't even show his horror tackle on MOTD because they wanted to circle jerk over his goal. Cunts.

Hopefully Palace go down so we can grab Bentekkerz when we go up

You really want him back? He looks woeful now.... I thought it might be Liverpool being too much of a step up for him but no, it looks like he had just turned to garbage

I'd take that all over again if we win the PL again the following year.

The way we survived that season was fucking brilliant. That game away against West Brom was so unbelievably sick. Then to go own on and win the league.... wish we could do it all over again. Maybe one day

Gotta be something wrong with Sturridge mentally. Klopp has more or less said it hasn't he? He's got to "understand what real pain is". He's probably so paranoid at this point he goes off at the slightest twang.

Saha was the same. I remember reading an interview with someone saying that Saha had something wrong mentally and he would collapse and breakdown in training from no contact even with physios and medical staff saying there was nothing wrong with him

It was weird when he signed to spurs for 8 seconds

Is Alderwield (sic) running down his contract at spurs? Didn't realise he was out of contract in the summer

The papers are really pushing this. He's actually out of contract in 2019 and then Spurs have the option to extend for a further year automatically, which would then apparently set live a 25 mill release clause for the following window or something.

He's been injured for ages and because Pochettino doesnt want to throw him straight into the two biggest games of the season so far - suddenly there's a rift and he's definitely leaving.

Does anyone really think Levy would let an asset go for free?

The fact he hasn't signed an extension yet is clearly saying something though. Didn't he make himself available to play publicly 3 weeks ago?

25 mil is nothing anyway - he may as well be going on a free in todays market, for a player of his calibre.

Probably not the same kind of tears you shed for Alexis Sanchez this season

We've won more games without him than with this season. Not saying he wouldn't be a massive loss as he's clearly one of the best CB's in Europe but the press are trying particularly hard to make something of this.

Gooners should be concentrating on convincing the 7 odd players they have out of contract In the next 12 months that another year in the Europa League is worth staying for.

And no doubt he'll play again on Sunday in the next round. Pochettino always takes his time bedding in players back from long-term injuries.

This is pretty rubbish rustling mate, especially off the back of a defeat in the NLD and literally just losing your best player for exactly the same reason, for someone who was horseshit in aforementioned NLD.

Sanchez (Spurs) was clearly bought with one eye on Alderweireld situation. He'll be sold for loads of money if it comes to that. Not signing an extension yet isnt always sign of "saying something" is it? Ozil?

Re: RE: FOOTBALL TALK & SPECULATION 2018/02/13 11:15:27 (permalink)
Poch said in his press conference that he doesn't think he's ready for this level of comp, hence why he wasnt in the squad for the NLD and hasnt travelled to Turin.

This has all come from some bloke at the telegraph with the usual "sources close to the player say" bollox.

In other news Ryan Mason has had to retire. Nasty injury that.

The shite "journalists" spew out is comical, literally getting paid to make shit up, no doubt paying fees to these "sources" lol

Poch has done it all season with players. Rose would play and then do fitness work instead of being on the bench and it was a few weeks until Lamela got involved after being back. Alderweireld's contract is a worry and the year option triggers a £26m release clause but it's only valid for 14 days.

The 'Spurs are going to lose all their players' narrative being pushed by certain sections of the media is just tedious now and this is coming from a non-Spurs supporter.

Sports media in general is getting worse and worse each season, they are creating an increasingly more dramatic soap opera alongside each season purely based on rumours, misinformation and pointless speculation, just report on the fucking facts you twats.

Other than bale and maybe walker they haven't exactly lost anyone to my knowledge, even then we're talking a lot of money for both.

Stuart Nethercott is perhaps best remembered for the disproportionate amount of times he featured in the Merlin F.A. Premier League Sticker Book collection for the 1994-95 season. Much to the chagrin of collectors, it was not unknown for a six sticker packet to contain six copies of Nethercott, then in the Tottenham ranks.[citation needed]
His sticker became ubiquitous to the point that, in an attempt to rid themselves of a rapidly thickening deck of Nethercotts, school children of the period were known to cover their friends' lockers as well as their school corridor walls with numerous copies of the Nethercott sticker, earning Stuart Nethercott a degree of fame and notoriety he was unable to attain in his footballing career
