Yeah c'mon, 34 mins lol.  It's a slow burning show but it's heavy.  Well worth sticking with.

Mr Robot - sick
Westworld - sick
Bojack - sick
BCS - (if binged) sick
Atlanta - double sick
All of the Marvel on Netflix - double sick
Breaking bad - triple sick

You have to be in the right mood to watch Haunted House Hill, and I think the same goes for Deuce.

Mrs loves Haunted Hill and I'm not particularly hating it because she's watching it now and I have whisky, so it's works as a compromise. But it isn't exactly fantastic tho.

the bbc has signed a creative partnership with fx, securing the rights to all new scripted comedy and drama. theyd better make a better job of trailing stuff than they did with season 2 of snowfall

first a Deadwood movie

then a possible three Walking Dead movies

and now a Breaking Bad one https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2018/nov/07/breaking-bad-movie-in-the-works-vince-gilligan ... being filmed right now, but no more details on the story or cast, only a cryptic description: it will follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom

Omg... had to google.  Nearly came.  So hyped for this.

Deadwood was fucking sick, I'm so glad they're finally wrapping up the story, a decade later is better than never.

Why the fuck did they cancel it in the first place, it was so good.
Made it such a hard sell when having tv series chat, "yeah Deadwood's really great but they never finished it so erm... yeah, probably don't bother watching it actually".

Struggling to get excited about Breaking Bad without Walter White. The chemistry (pun intended) between Paul and Cranston was the best thing about it, and I don't think Aaron Paul necessarily has the ability to carry it by himself.

It's a bit like House of Cards without Spacey.

Re: The TV series thread 2018/11/09 11:54:55 (permalink)
i must admit that i was just never that intrigued as to what happened to jesse after the finale. it ended fairly well imo and anything more i'd rather it just be left in my imagination tbh

but then again i thought a spin off about saul sounded a bit bait, so what do i know

i'm sure gilligan wouldn't do it if he didn't have a solid idea in mind, so i'm hopeful that this will be much more than just a 'breaking bad sequel movie'... and guaranteed they will find a way to shoehorn walt in somehow

I think he's done such a good job of BCS and shown that he can spin-off from BB with new ideas and different methods from those used in BB. I'd assume that he'll take a different direction / tone again with the JP film and so far he's given us no reason to think it'd be anything other than great.

A friend in the industry told me it's a slapstick comedy in which Jesse wakes up thinking he's French and gets a job as a clumsy Clouseau-esque waiter.

I fucking loved it!!! Especially the red room reveal. Got a big crush on glove girl too

Those hating the new BB spin off. Up yours. As if Gilligan would do anything detrimental to his progress! I want more of his “universe” and the way he shoots it
