The Good Doctor is very good, majority English lead cast.

Highmore is a serious actor.

It's decent. Not brilliant, but well-cast and easy to watch. The Gotham of sitcoms if you will.

Highmore is a serious actor.

He's one of the contestants on the first series of the American version of Taskmaster, coming to the US at the end of this month, dunno if we're getting it though. UK version got recommissioned for another 4 series. The win-some, lose-some booking continues, as the next one will feature;
a) from the banglist, bosomy delight Liza Tarbuck.
b) from the shitlist, grating wob-eyed yokel Russell Howard.

Who's next? Parker Posey and Josef Fritzl?

How does Howard keep getting booked?!

Sneaky Pete season 2 is everything.

Looks like Asim Chaudhry (Chabuddy G) is on there too. Unfortunately Tim Vine features, so expect a tirade of shit puns.

Finally got round to watching the end of Westworld season 1 yesterday. Meh...a few interesting twists but overall just trying to be too smart for its own good.

Started rewatching the sopranos and just finished season 1. Still so fucking good. This and the wire will always be a cut above. Funny, smart, intriguing, great characters.

This gets said on here every now and again, but it's worth saying every time. I've been watching random eps of the Sopranos on that Arconai website and no matter where you dip into the show, it's outrageously good.

Anyone have any faith the Sopranos prequel will be good? The casting alone is an impossible task

it's just bizarre. i can only assume he had to shoehorn the Sopranos link in there to get it financed

it's set in the mid/late 60s, right? so tony's mum and dad will be in it... uncle ju... carmine sr... not that many others though who won't be kids (i.e. tony was eight during the newark riots)

we never saw chris' dad - dickie moltisanti - did we? he'd be an interesting lead

if they were gonna go down this route though, i would've rather seen an 80s prequel with phil leotardo, johnny sack, richie aprile et al in their pomp. i just hope they don't do something retarded in the present day that confirms whether tony is dead or alive

Agree with all of the above.

Whether or not Tony is dead or alive is definitely settled already though.

Series 2 of This Country has been jokes. Really wish bbc comedies would have more episodes.

Finally watched The Defiant Ones now it’s on Netflix. Really good for the most part aside from when it becomes a fluff piece for beats in episode 4.

The episode that dealt with east coast vs west coast was by far the best, knew the story but great to hear it told by those involved. Find all of that stuff fascinating. Interesting to hear the Interscope side of it too, and never knew that Suge Knight and Jimmy Iovine were so close once.

I have just watched this over the last couple of nights. Really enjoyed it. Even though the NWA/Death Row/Tupac story is well known it was still entertaining seeing it from the Dre persepective. The Jimmy Irvine story was really interesting in its own right too, and like you say I wasn’t aware of how much overlap there was between him and Dre/Suge. Made the Beats thing make sense.
