New iPhone released today

iPhone5s or iPhone6?

The general consensus seems to be that they need to seriously up their game with this one.

5s with biometrics/fingerprint lock button
A7 chip
and a double flash thing

Biometric finger print access is pretty cool/james bond.

I've had one for years on my keyboard at work. fucking temperamental though

(there is a poors version too... basically a 5 but with a poly carbonate shell)

I had a HP keyboard with a fingerprint scanner in 10 years ago, big wow.

Apple have lost it since Jobs died. I'm not saying they're now shit, but they are not the company they were.

Fingerprint scanner. That should get the usual crowd foaming at the anus.

Every single Apple product announcement just makes me nauseous. They really might as well leave their clothes at the entrance and hand out free KY and just fucking do it for once.

Genuinly intrested to see about the 'poors' version and what it entails. It sort of goes against what Apple seem to stand for; compromising build quality for a lower cost for the consumer. They have made some very un-Jobs-like decisions since his passing.

No one's saying its cutting edge... but it will make unlocking the phone easier and that's a huge plus for me... currently it's such a faff, especially when in a mess with what appears to be 5 thumbs.

Can't be fucked with iPhone anymore. Gonna go for the Note 3 and a gear once my s3 contract is dead.

Tim Cook seems to be making the same mistake most next men at it/tech companies make when they were on top, that it'll last forever by keep doing what you're doing.

Funnily enough it's the same mistake Ballmer/Microsoft made as well.

Nobody lasts forever in it/tech. Well, maybe IBM.

easier than swiping a simple pattern? or does the iphone only have a pin no?

complete gimmick with old tech that will no doubt be vaunted as an innovative great leap forward by apple bummers everywhere

He WAS apple.

Take iPads as an example. He has the 'vision' of them becoming the future of computing back in the late 80's. He wasn't the first person to make a tablet pc but he was the person who made them what they are, and he is the reason they are as popular as they are today. Even things they're claiming will help rescue apple like the iWatch are his ideas/patents.

I can't believe Jobs' would have agreed with an iPad Mini and a cheap version of the iPhone.
They just seen to be chasing Samsung, or trying to at least match the product range, instead of focussing on what made them so popular in the first place.

Also too busy with trying to sue Samsung for everything lol

I've been tempted to veer away from the iPhone for ages now, however I have a Mac, and after 5 or so years with an iPhone the amount of apps etc I've invested in makes it really difficult to move to Android.

Anyone with a Mac got a Samsung/Android device?

I rate the iPad mini but it wasn't apples idea, they just adapted the iPad after seeing the success of smaller tablets.

There hasn't been anything innovative since the iPad. I used to be the kinda fanboy who got genuinely excited by apple launches, now I couldn't care less.

I don't, but from what I've seen samsung have covered all the angles to make moving to the s4 as easy as possible. Plenty of apps on the s4 that work with AirPlay/iTunes and can switch everything over.

In terms of the apps I was the same but when you cut it down - how many do you really use? All the must have apps are on android now anyway.

Don't regret getting an s4 at all, going back to the iPhone after using it feels like a kids phone.

I've got an old MacBook and a s3. Everything syncs fine. Tends to be compatible apps and software you can download on both device and Mac so you can back up as normal etc...

1. People that can't afford an iPhone.

2. Boring neeks

So he didn't actually invent anything, he just stole other peoples ideas. I'm sure they can find someone else to do that.

He wasnt the first person to make a touch screen phone but he made them popular. Same with mp3 players, same with tablets.

Even the most ardent apple hater couldnt deny he was a genius

S4 and htc 1 are pretty much the same money as an iPhone. Good logic clown boy.
