Had the track sitting in my inbox since yesterday. All the hype put me off wanting to hear it.
Now every also-ran NY rapper is recording responses.

it's a sick verse and kendrick's a dope rapper, but let's face it, hip-hop ain't exactly the competitive ground it once was

Switched it off after a minute. The track is tedious and drab. It's the same regurgitated gaudy bullshit delivered with a monotone annoying rap style from Lamar. The only way such an uninspiring rap song can be palatable is with a half decent beat and bassline, this track lacks both. 0/10

I like Kendrick most of the time but that was rubbish. And people are getting hyped over it because he says he wants to be more successful than a few other guys? It's hardly No Vaseline is it?

Jeez. He's more listenable than a lot of the crap around at the moment but it's hardly groundbreaking is it?

I'm going to go listen to some BDP and try to forget I heard this lol.

I can't figure out if he's changed his vocal style or he hasn't been taking very good care of his voice . I don't think he will ever top Cartoons & Cereal though

I think mainstream U.S hip hop needs Dr Dre to come back and show these 'nu-skool' faggots some g-funk.

The link in the OP is so bland and average. The hype surrounding it is unwarranted to say the least.

I like Kendricks verse on the A$AP 'Fucking Problems' tune but I don't get all the fuss.

given that the last couple of things he put out (Crack A Bottle and I Need A Doctor) were fucking horrendous I would disagree with you.
Also, if he ever stops flogging those shitty headphones and gets round to releasing an album again, it will almost certainly have Kendrick Lamar on it.
