Do you actually nonce about with a float in your pool Snakey?

Nonce about?

Floats are a boss move.

Love casually lapping people only using my legs.

Any of you fuckers use the Nike + service for running?

I use it and it's been pretty good, but recently it seems to be telling me I've run twice as far as I actually have. Takes ages to find the GPS too, but that's probably my phone

Been doing 4 or 5 miles a few times in the week, then about 7 on Sunday for the last few months. Started to get a pain on the outside of my right knee though, so think I'll try replacing some runs with a swim in the new year.

Where does everyone run? Try and do off road trails as much as I can. Bought these bad boys the other day

That could be iliotibial band syndrome, you might need new running shoes

Don't keep running on it thinking it will go away, go to a running shop with your shoes and they'll have a look (and obviously flog you new ones for £££)

not that anyone gives the slightest fuck but i am following this atm. pretty good plan to build up your strength and stamina in the pool

Sweet fuckry. Jesus. I'm currently doing 40 lengths every three days and running on the other days but even the first part if this looks intimidating. Need to get my front crawl more efficient. It kills me at present.

I'm on step 3 and yes, it is fucking hardcore lol.

Try and do each step for 2 weeks (6 swims) then up to the next one.

Former middleweight boxer and 100m runner up Bravid O'Frandipile shows us the correct form for backwards running. Accompanied by Shaziminje ibakhourias, former wli Romanian darts champion, who is running forwards in this picture.

'Running backwards is the new running forwards. I run up to 50 miles in 5 days backwards and get bigger gains than I would running 100 miles forward.'

^^ That looks fucking ridiculous - running 50 miles faster would save you from having to look over your shoulder all the time, and being restricted to running on a track all the time, how boring.

Flyknits/hybrid? No idea what you mean. The 3's have the least cushioning right? I'm happy with the 4's so don't see the need to change.

I covered 5 miles of backwards running through the country in 2 hours today, my legs are FUCKED. It doesn't have to be limited to track, you just need good peripheral vision.

It does the trick, really gets the thighs going. O'Frandipiles legs are huge now, not grotesquely huge but tight as fuck. Will try to find a pic.

As you mentioned the benefits the 4's have on your skeleton just wondered if there was a reason you didn't go for the 3's as they are more like running bare foot.

Have been dreading getting back into it after a year of heavy drinking and smoking but forced myself to go today. Legs are gonna be fucked tomorrow. First time wearing nike flyknits, couldn't really feel any major difference from my old trainers tbh.

Just about to start half-marathon training this week. Got my Garmin Forerunner 620 on the way from some eBay seller in Lithuania - wish me luck with that.

I ran in these for a couple of months and they properly fucked my feet/shins up. Have now been fitted properly and got to see on screen how my feet have been landing in them and it was pretty bad. Just wearing the standard testing trainer without any support made a considerable difference. Not saying they're wrong for everyone but I've had to get a pair with support both sides to stop my foot rolling around on impact.

This is far from proven. I'm not saying its bullshit, my shoes only have 4mm drop, but there's conflicting evidence both ways.
