@ runners

Just went on my first run in about 18 months. Managed 6 miles and I am absolutely fucked! I used to be out at least 5 times a week but started smoking/drinking loads and put on a couple of stone. That run was a smack round the face, gonna get back on it now, maybe train for a charity run or something.

So nice round here running through the country lanes with blue sky and fresh air. Anyone else been running this morning?

Got really into running past 2 years, have gone from struggling to run for 10 mins to covering a good 20k a week. One of those exercises I thought I'd never get in to, all round best exercise that will get you fit and as lean as a whippet!

If I could do running inside on a machine, not at a gym, in my house, I'd run for miles.

Yeah. Was out this morning up at my folks place. Tried to go some way I've not been for years n ended up nearly falling off a cliff. Still, nice morning for it.

I've been meaning to get back into running for ages. What puts me off is knowing how shit I'm gonna feel after the first time.

Country lanes with a 10 grand toll. Bondonde doesn't do running for free.

Disagree, mine always wants to stop and sniff stuff lol.

I fall in and out of love with running constantly. Ran the MK marathon last year and I've signed up for next year's. I'm doing fuck all at the moment (fairly gentle 3 mile run after work most nights, sometimes do a 6 miler at some point over the weekend) but I'm looking forward to getting back into a proper routine leading up to the marathon.

Best feel ever is finishing a good long run, knowing you've still got plenty left in the tank, and knowing there was no way in hell you could've done it before you started training.

Would love to get into as I'm unhealthy as fuck, but I'm also lazy.

I tend to die after about 1k.

yeah that'd be why I'd like a running machine at home. Once knackered can just flop onto the sofa.

Can anyone recommend some decent headphones for running?

I've been using the standard apple ones (I know) but once the weather warms up and I can't wear my beanie down over my ears anymore they're just gonna drop out after about 2 paces.

Don't wanna spend mad dollar so Brian need not reply

Gold plated in-ear headphones really are the only way to go if you want to avoid that problem...
