Does have some dark comedic undertones.
I didnt find it that depressing, I sort of found it quite satisfying in a weird way.
Top revenge flick

I wouldn't say it's especially 'depressing'. It's bleak, and pretty grim in places, but it didn't leave me feeling depressed afterwards in the way that, say, Tyrannosaur did... or Waltz With Bashir.

just watched Dead Mans Shoes and it was kinda average, did feel a bit though at the 'twist'

some good scenes though don't get me wrong, better than a lot of stuff I've watched recently.

If I watched it based on all its mentions this thread I'd probably be a bit underwhelmed. I was under no hype when I watched it and really enjoyed it, it's my sort of film though. If you asked a wider demographic than this forum what their favourite British film is it probably wouldn't be mentioned that much.

I'm going for Brazil. There are various reason why that may not count, so if it doesn't, I'm going for Once Upon A Time In The Midlands.

Dead Man's Shoes really isn't that great.

Can't believe Get Carter hasn't been mentioned yet. Top film, even though Micheal Caine is a top cunt.

Didn't realise Danny Boyle was doing olympics opening ceremony! Hoping for bare Scottish squalor and raw injection scenes projected around the world
