Noise Pollution / dogs

Anyone ever had to ring the council?

I am about to go to war with my neighbour over their cunting dogs if they don't take any notice of my polite note that I'm about to put through their door.

I rang the council about some different dogs at my last house but pussied out of taking it any further when they rang me, known the old lady for years and years and didn't want to upset her.

I actually wish death on shit dog owners.

Right now my pooch is having a dog off with the neighbours dog. Cant be bothered to stop her, she'll wear herself out soon enough

My old flat had a dog next door that barked from 7am when they left until 8pm when they got back.

Not the dog's fault obviously, you can't leave a bouncy, intelligent dog alone in a house with nothing to do for that length of time it's cruel.

I could have fucking swung for the neighbours though.

Considered ringing council/RSPCA but figured the council are shit and the RSPCA probably had more important shit to deal with.

Nearly drove me insane though.

Mate your local council are obliged to investigate this sort of complaint.. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1996/37/section/2 and they're the ones with the powers to deal with it. They'll send you a diary sheet to keep a record of when it happens. Anyway alot of times this gets resolved with a simple warning letter.
