When was the 'Machete Bass EP' released? Surely one of the highest selling releases of that year?

This was imo probably the most hammered record in dnb history, underrated now but anyone that was there will remember how absolutely battered it was. You'd hear it a few times a night for a long time.

I added Machete on 2008, which seems to have disappeared.

I had that down in 2008 as well, think Grade cleared the year by accident.

If you want to quote that last post i did and edit it then go for it but I can't be bothered

I just tried to stay as close to 3 of the most well known tunes of the year

People are always gonna be able to name something that they think should be there but as a rough nostalgic guide it'll do

Another killer from that period on TOV was Dj Red - Uprise and not forgetting Enta da dragon;
There was all the crazy huge tracks on V, Philly blunt, Full cycle, Dope dragon. They were churning out a couple of timeless classics a month for years.

Ceeyjay is on point.

As depressing as it is, I think he's summed up why dnb is getting worse and also proved factually that it is on a downward spiral.

I've re-added my 3 picks for 2008, as well as a few more recent ones. And we're not even half way into this year, there's still a chance for an anthem to emerge.
