There's obviously an audience for the film, probably a large one. They are content, even eager, to sit in a theater and watch one action figure after another pound and blast one another to death. They require no dialogue, no plot, no characters, no humanity. Have you noticed how cats and dogs will look at a TV screen on which there are things jumping around? It is to that level of the brain's reptilian complex that the film appeals.
looks interesting, never heard of it before...worth a purchase / download?
I can't say for sure as i saw it on hash cakes when i was 17 or 18 or something. Remember it being pretty good, had an amazing cat and mouse action sequence in these huge residential high rises near the end.
EDIT: gets a decent review by Mr Ebert. I want to watch it again actually, sounds good.
The Raid = Fucking genius. I am buzzing hard after that. Every action film from now is gonna have to step up there game big time. Outstanding violence in this and fight scenes. Soundtrack is also very good.
