I see Messi's not on that list, maybe he could learn a few things from old JT about ball control.
And what does Messi like to do when he gets on the ball?
I'm not saying these are the de facto best players in Europe, I'm saying only that because Terry is from the 'old fashioned centre back' mould, covered in mud and blood, crunching tackles, good in the air etc that people neglect that he is also actually an underrated and technically accomplished footballer.
To say that Terry is not good with the ball at his feet is simply untrue.

Messi's pass completion will be shite though, passes into the back of the net won't count as completed lol
But it highlights how moronic bringing up that stat list is.
Everybody knows JT is no pass master like he is trying to convey. If he was not stuck in the confines of JT's womb, he would know that.
I'm not trying to convey that he is any kind of pass master, I am merely conveying that he is a more accomplished footballer than you give him credit for and he actually is quite tidy with the ball at his feet. Simple as that.
lol at SW14, terry generally passes the ball all of 5 yards, or now and again he plays a decent ball down the left for cole or the hoof to drogba - quoting pass completion rates LOL run it again but look for key passes instead. oh and he didnt get exposed for pace, because Carvalho used to cover him and chelsea didnt play a high back line.... funny when AVB was in and played a high back line, he got found out over and over.

anyway this thread needs more livewire.
Can you name me a consistently better defence in Europe over the last decade than Chelsea's? And who has been the one lynchpin of that throughout? It's not a co-incidence.
He would be deadly at United. They'd be better off selling him to City where he'd by vying with about 10 other players for a place. Selling him to United would be creating two sides in England they have no hope of catching.

shut up. i only pointed out that you quoting stats means jack shit.
Ashley Cole has been your most consistent defender(if not player) as well.
but really okay Bayern, Real, Barca, Man Utd and for a good part of the last decade, Arsenal, Inter, Milan, Juve even Liverpool under the spik.
and if you even try to tell me that Terry is better than Maldini, Cannavaro or Puyol you need to lay off the K
now go support Brentford.

If Ledley King was the "best of his generation" a big club would have snapped him up much the same as Rio, even Woodgate turned out for Real Madrid if we are going down the injury debate.

Theres difference though, Woodgate just had specific injuries that could clear up albeit a lot of them. Ledley didn't have any cartilage in his knee.

i dont know. he had raw pace and superb ability but could never stay fit. the shit knee and poor fitness put off bigger clubs
So good to see this GB team trying things, playing their way out of trouble and trying to take players on.
Can actually support them while they are playing like this.... Even though they are losing they are playing a good brazil side and are probably doing better than the England euro 2012 squad would have
