LOL having used a Manley Variable Mu, a Neve VR60 desk and various Focusrite equipment if money was no object, and I was allowed to pick any of the three to use again, it wouldn't be the Focusrite. I don't think I've used any Avalon stuff so I can't comment on that.
Where as I think it's one of the biggest piles of shit I've ever had the misfortune to use.
I ran equipment tests on two TwinTrak Pros, neither of which had matched frequency responses in the high end meaning that if you used them for tracking overheads for example, your stereo image would be wonky from about 2kHz upwards. I'm not saying that is the case for all TwinTrak Pros because one was far worse than the other but what I am saying is they'll probably make your tunes diagonal and as everyone knows, diagonal is the least heterosexual of all the angles.
Wavy isn't an angle. If wavy was an angle it would have been the angle that turned diagonal in the first place. Wavy's like a big gay vampire biting things and making them gay.
