Dont know how you can complain about a tune being at 180bpm if you make all your tunes at 176 though
Just because 176 is pretty much the standard for a drum & bass track nowadays, whereas no one would really make a track at 180 bpm. It would be especially fast for a remix of an old skool Jungle track imo.
@ B.D. - I passed the tune to Marvellous Cain last night and he said, and i quote from a text, "Im going music house 2morrow to cut it. tell him big big cunting tune..."
I didn't even know Marvellous Cain was still going, let alone still cutting plates. what a guy.
What with the Jungle thing coming through the past few years, he is feeling the music again and has been getting booked for events so is making a 'come back' as it were. He's not playing any CD's and is only cutting 10" plates, ive tried to convert him but he won't have any of it. We have also had him in our studio for a couple of sessions and have just done a remix of Dem 2 Ruff's 'Nice Tune'. I might get B.D. to have a go at remixing one of Marv's old tunes..
