Is it the spammers? Are people actually making music? Or have we just ran out of things to say to each other?

General nasty vibes an snideyness seemed to have taken over the jokes and camaraderie we used to have on here, that's how it seems to me anyway. I know from talking off the forum to various people that used to post on here that's the case with them as well. It used to feel like we had a proper community of producers on here and it just turned into a daily slanging match which appears to have put a lot of people off.

i havent noticed that , theres always been banter on here, i think the main reason is that people have got older and started families so have a lot less time, plus a lot less kids wanting to make drum and bass, i bet most of regulars here are over 25.

There are tons of people producing, new guys and plenty of people that used to post on here, i get sent new tunes every week. Just because they don't want to be involved with this place anymore doesn't mean they have given up.

The loss of sigs.

That's where it all really began.

Place has always been a cluster fuck of insults and backstabbing, and better for it imo.
The big increase has been in those complaining about it.

the spamming don't really bother me, for the forum anyway, just don't click the posts innit.
i don't buy music off dnba anymore though, if they can't even de-spam forums, it makes me paranoid about them having my debit card details on a database lol.

The internet is for acting a cunt. That's why we nerds invented it in the first place.
The whole net was a great place before the straights started turning up with their "feelings".

But that's only a part of what happened here.
The loss of sigs took something from this place.

Not a personal sleight Ikos, you're a good man and we all know it.
But fuck, if I can't call you a Cunt and tell you your snares suck balls and your tracks are wank Clipz rip-offs without having to have a team-meeting about everyones feelings afterwards, then where's the fun?

I think that marked the point in time when it felt like management stopped giving a fuck about the forum.

Would definitely revitalise the place to have a proper update.

It's because Drum and Bass is fucking shit. I've been telling you this since 2005 but none of you listened. Now you're all panicking, trying to have a Jungle revival but it's too late.

@IKOS, abit unfair that you can edit your posts without it saying so at the bottom, i saw what it said earlier before it miraculously changed into a post.

Now now petal don't get your knickers in a twist I cant edit my posts without leaving the 'edited' line, just like everyone else. I just did it quickly, and if you do it quick enough it dosen't leave a trace. All i deleted was 'Fair point well put' which wasn't really necessary. Worth making a thing out of? No. You do like to try and shit stir don't you.
