well you can't really take the moral high-ground about banksy not being 'graffiti' and how you think he's shit and how us lowly plebs can't comment because we don't know how a 'writer' thinks without showing us what in your head actually is 'graffiti'
Sellout? If any of you were being offered millions for your work would you honestly turn it down and say ''no, people will think i've sold out''? I like Banksy's work. I couldn't care less if people say he's a hypocrite, a sellout, he's not a 'real' graffiti artist. I like looking at his stuff, it's that simple.
I hate him because he is shit , like I hate people who do photo-realism or 3D graff , because it's shit , there is no style to the lettering , if there even are any letters behind those arrows.
I DJ and I like to hear a clang every now and again , atleast you know the DJ is actually mixing.
Rocket , some may like his work , I think it's shit graff , weak letters hidden with 3D.
Strikes me you take yourself and your 'art' way too seriously. That piece looks pleasing to me, what the fuck are 'weak letters'? Why should someone elses 'art' trigger such a strong response as 'I think it's shit graff'? If I listen to someone mixing and think I could do better I'd think something like 'I'd try doing this or that' - what you've done is just slag off but not offer any reason as to why it is shit and what could be done to improve it.
What is so great about your art, what sets it above everyone else, Banksy included?
i dont know anything about graff. Can you post just one example of some that you think is good so we can look at the lettering?
Check out people like Okre , Slice and Nasty , people who do dubs on the streets and trains.

I never said I was great , or did 'art' . Im a writer , I go out and bomb.
Weak letters are stuff like the above , plain letters hidden behind 3d and random crap to make it look pleasing to someone who isn't interested in Graffiti , all pretty like.
He could do better by being less of a prick , and getting out and putting his name on the streets , in some nice big bubbly throwups.
Im probably going to look like a prick for all of this , but I dont really mind , graff is something I love and I hate it when people think shit this is the real stuff.

I think its a fair criticism if that 3D stuff is easy to do but just looks good to the uneducated. But is it actually easy to do that? Looks pretty hard.

much harder than bombing much harder than stencils too
your view on graff depends on what you want to get from it - if you want to be known as an artist you call yourself a street artist and you do 'street art'; if you just want to get your name about you call yourself a graffiti artist. They're two completely separate entities, the only thing that links them is they both use the streets as their canvas anjd (usually) spraypaint as their medium. You can't compare stencil graff and traditional letterforms really
