Yep I'm down with thin as well. Thick pancakes are for motherfuckers who eat deep pan pizzas

I prefer them. My mother in law makes pancakes on the reg's and they are about 2 inches thick, with air holes like an aero. I have one and I want to lay down. Thin so you can roll them up is the way forward

On pancake day the thin crepe ones are best as you can have way more that way.

For breakfasts - bacon and maple syrup on a big stack of stubby American ones is best.

These are facts.

^ Nah. Eggs, milk and flour are the most standard breakfast items around, in whatever combo. Scrambled eggs on toast for example incorporates the same stuff.

I'm not done yet.

I'd also argue that the sugar and carbs in pancakes (including nutella, or honey, or maple syrup) is better for breakfast because you've got time in the day to burn it off. Having that shit in the evening you're going to bed with a belly full of calories.

well it does seem to only be the fattest country in the world who regularly have them for breakfast. When i went to America the breakfasts there were ridiculously unhealthy/huge.

Yeah, American portions are absolute madness. And yeah pancakes for breakfast should definitely be a treat rather than the norm, imo.

God I’ve sucked the fun out of this thread. Sorry.

American bacon though. Although I don't mind streaky bacon, it makes a shocking bacon sandwich. Why is there no different types!

I made some for breakfast on the weekend, ended up using some crepe recipes as a guideline and freestyling it from there.
Another vote for thin pancakes here - rolled with lemon and sugar is unbeatable.

Was looking at doing some fluffy thick style ones but they're just not really my thing. A lot more effort for some recipes as well.

Americans absolutely boss breakfast.

however anything on thin pancakes except lemon and sugar is strictly for barbarians.

I had thin ones for dinner last night and then again this morning for breakfast.  Grated cheese for savoury as well as the obvious sugar and lemon sweet.

Still got some milk left over, more for lunch is definitely on the cards.

Had one with mushrooms and broccoli that I'd fried in loads of garlic butter than smothered it in sharp Swiss cheese. Another with bacon and maple syrup then -
