they do this cos its hard to maximize things louder when its got some strong sinewaves (original jungle). eq the bass lower and everything else gets louder in the maximizing (jump up) mainstream listeners preffer overall loudness in a club to bass spl. this is even more noticeable on home systems bought from argos where the lower cut off is about 70hz and all subbass is lost, so is therefore pointless. lets face it, we mite aswell be listening to wobble dubstep

dnb isnt underground of ghetto and has no appeal of all the street shit that got a shit on at the end of tekstep days
normal everyday people goto a club as 70% social like house nights, normal dnb is or was to heavy
underground and ghetto headz go to take some drugs and hear the tunes banging out on a decent system
