Congrats Miss SD and Caspar!  Hope the birth went well and all that!

It is amazing, my boy has started smiling and cooing the past week, trying to make his own noises and loving having them repeated back to him.

It's absolutely fasciniating watching his tiny brain develop...

Thanks all. I had to have a c section (not out of choice ) and lost well over half my blood so still in hospital recovering from that and some other issues. I've barely eaten or slept since Thursday feel pretty wired lol. Just can't wait to get the little man home and get on with things 😊.

How old is your little one now whagwhan?

Btw is anyone using the sleepyhead? Trying to decide whether to invest in one. At the moment he seems a pretty good sleeper but conscious that may change when we bring him home.

I know, was too scared of things going wrong to do any announcement. All came good in the end though finally

Congratulations!

If by a sleepyhead you mean those doughnut type things they sleep in, then yeah my missus made one herself with her sewing machine and our baby loves it.

Also, if you don't have one yet send Caspar to go and buy a co sleeper bed. We borrowed one off a friend for our second kid and it is fucking genius. Can not recommend highly enough.

Yes we got the chicco next to me crib. The in laws bought the sleepyhead and he seems to like it.

First night home with the baby. I'm shitting myself after being in hospital surrounded by midwives for almost a week.

My boy is 7.5 weeks now btw.  We have the sleepyhead and the snuzpod but he doesn't really want to settle in either...

My advice to all you new parents.....sell your child before anyone knows you have 1. If I get asked for toast once more and when I bring it through she looks at me like Im a dickhead and says "Dont want toast" Ill fucking scream

How can you be in love with someone you've known for a day who has no defining features?

But congrats anyway lol

Me and the missus had a blazing row when I said I had very little bond and it was just a sack of skin that cries at me. Its different now obviously. The extra toast innit

A level results day, still don't know what she's got but she's been told that her first choice Uni ain't a thing and now clearing is a go... seems a bit shit to be told like that before you get your results but hey.

Some of you guys may have been through all this, I didn't.

These are the moments you feel the same as your kids - she's well on the case though, telling me to go away and just let her get on with it lol...

Just shot down a cold caller a bit heavier than normal, whoops.

Just check the module results are consistent. If there are any that stand out as very low get them remarked

One of my A level exam papers got a U. The other modules were all either A or B. Meant I got a C grade overall and didn't get into my first choice uni.

Decided to have it remarked and it was an error - the paper was actually graded a B, and hence the overall a level grade was a B, and so I should have got in. In hindsight I should have appealed at the Uni after the remark but I was given useless support from my college.

^^ Man that's some heavy shit.. seen articles recently saying that the whole clearing system suits the middle classes more, the parents know how to work the system better, how to fix things exactly as you've described.

btw just passed the above on, cheers matey.

Just to say she got in somewhere via clearing, doing the course she wanted - not quite the grades as expected but it's all about the BA hons at the end of it, pretty chuffed for her - a good days work
