Not had a play on one but reviews say the Samung Galaxy S is supposed to be one of the best phones out, sequel has just been announced. Specs sound beastly but good luck expecting your battery to last even a day with that screen.

The Samsung Galaxy S II will be rocking a 1GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch (4.27-inch) Super AMOLED WVGA display when it comes to UK shores.
Connectivity
It is a nice 8.49mm thick and weighs in at just 116g. We also know it will be coming with the following connections: HSPA+ Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 + HS (High Speed).
Samsung is also hoping that you will use the company’s ecosystem, as it will be directly connected to something called the Reader Hub, Social Hub, Game Hub and Music Hub (which is the front end to the 7digital store).
Don’t worry, however, as you will still be able to access the Android Market for the thousands of apps on offer through Google’s on app store.
The Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone also comes equipped with support for Flash and will launch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The smartphones also has 1080p HD playback at 30fps and also has a 8MP camera

Decided to get a Desire. Would love an iPhone but I just can't justify it when I can get a much cheaper deal with the HTC, which at the end of the day isn't all that much different.

At the moment after my first round of haggling I've been offered an 18 month contract for £25 a month with 300 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data. Gonna try and get them down to £20 a month or get some freebies out of them and then I'll be a happy camper.

Thank you bitches.

where did you get that deal? I'm seriously considering getting the HD htc desire and I'd like a nice cheap deal lol

Vodafone. It's for standard Desire though not the HD, they wouldn't go under £35 a month on that. I'm still waiting for the guy to ring me back, my current shit phone cut him off on friday just as I was about to make the deal

Syhr how is the battery life on your iPhone? Are you having to charge it every night?

first full battery charge lasted over 24 hours, and that was with heavy first-day-overexcited-download-a-million-apps-and-use-everything usage. plus having wifi on all the time. so looks pretty decent i reckon.

Yeah I just found that out. Seems when he said unlimited data what he meant was 500mb, the cheeky swine.

Too late now.

But you do "unlimited" data

Atrix isn't out yet. Almost time for the dual core phone to make an appearance with the main ones being the Atrix, Galaxy S 2 and the LG 2X. Tough to tell which will be better. Hopefully some cool information comes out of the Mobile worlld congress in Barcelona ATM.

Just got me a Samsung Omnia 7, the new windows os is pretty slick. Android / apple has more apps n stuff, but this UI  is lush. Few updates and this could be the real deal. + Not having to troll through x amount of crap apps to find good ones is quite  refreshing . MS for the win???

Is it worth me getting a HTC desire HD or should I hold out for a month or so and get the other goodies?

The Atrix has a HDMI out, and 2 USB outs.
So you can hook it up to a TV and plug a keyboard and mouse in.

Also you can get a screen / keyboard laptop docking station thing for it.

I think we are witnessing the slow evolution of the end of conventional laptops.

The Atrix is more powerful than most budget netbooks now anyway.

Atrix sounds ridiculous, battery is 1980 (think most phones are 1300) so it should in theory actually last a while if its built well

I think that is $200 on top of a 2 year contract no? Or $500 for the laptop dock and phone with a contract. Could buy a laptop cheaper.

and its dual core and as mentioned earlier in this thread think, that strangely lowers the battery consumption.
