Yeah Moscas done quite a few diverse tunes

Proper glitchy hiphop beat that goes into future garagey style:

This remix is one of my favourites by him:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7K_BWQa6yA

And this bit off that Fabric Elevator music compilation is just brilliant

Guys got a hell of a lot of talent

Mosca - Tilt Shift is finally out now
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywAJL8sKYvk

That guy is brilliant

Tilt Shift is fucking excellent, love the Riko sample

been desperately trying to fit it in a mix, but it's 100bpm so it's not easy.
Nike is a pain in the arse to mix from the start as well.

Mosca's a wicked DJ as well, probably my favourite selecter at the moment.

When it comes to colourful music on the "Band" front.  Bloc Party are still a favourite of mine, still sound fresh after god knows how many listens.

And the xx are shaping to be one hell of a band, didnt realise until yesterday that they were all only 19 when the album was released last year, so much future pottential

New Jamie XX mix (Boiler Room) is good. Mixing is pretty shit and the host is a bit jarring but selection is so large

It's open to anyone and free.
So if you're in east London on a Tuesday you should go down, you can bring your own booze, smoke inside etc.

where are Boiler Rooms held? Dalston is only 15 mins on the bus for me...

i know this is quite irrelevant / pedantic, but i find it odd that jamie xx is becoming the 'poster boy' for this kind of uk bass music, really just off the back of a handful of mixes and a collab album that's not even out yet... plenty of other people that are way more prolific.

They're held at a place called the pattern cutting factory, which is on Dunston road just off the kingsland road by the canal.

Don't know if he is really, but even so, he's in a hip, well known, Mercury winning band, whereas most of the others (I'm generalizing) are unknown blokes in their bedrooms. Easy reference point for journalists.

yeah i meant on here as much as anywhere else

not to cuss him at all, he's clearly very talented. i just meant that 1 person shouldnt be credited with being a focal point of a scene just because he's in a band people have heard of.
