while i'm glad that this forum has branched out massively this year in terms of different musical tastes a lot of you seem to really rate highly a few artists (phaleh, synkro, pariah) that i find pretty underwhelming. anyway...
Fantastic Mr Fox has been doing some great stuff this year. his EP on Black Acre was outstanding
Yeah mate, that Ramadanman & Midland Release on AUS is huge, have rinsed it. Al tourettes has a killer release on there too, not so "colourfull" But a real fister
The midland edit of Caribou is a killer, have been loving that too.
Where to start with Ramadanman, the guy is a genious. Cant fault him, between him and scuba im made. Top of there game on the old minimal dubstep / dubtech, but thats kind of of subject, cant help myself

I'm not really feeling Jamie XX or James Blake that much, barring a few tunes. This applies more to James Blake cos I've not heard much Jamie XX stuff. They're both tapping into that melancholy sort of Burial-esque feel though, no? Both producers that can be embraced comfortably by the indie/Zane Lowe audience. Saying that, Mount Kimbie have made some great tunes and I do like the 'You've Got The Love' RMX. A lot of it is operating outside of my listening preferences though.
My favourite producer to emerge from this 'future garage/post-dubstep' thing is probably Girl Unit, who you wouldn't really compare to the above two I suppose. The Swamp 81 stuff is pretty good too. I'm biased by friendship to Blunted Robots but I think some of the stuff they've put out this year (or is forthcoming) is excellent... thinking about it there's probably been a lot of bangers coming out of that whole mishmash of a scene but I've been listening more to hip-hop and house/techno generally than dubstep this year.
Forgot Untold, he's great too.
Also forgot Doc Daneeka...

yeah i'm interested to hear what the Breton stuff is like - they're a proper band aren't they?
i'll give your mix a bash this morning, nice one.
Yeah I was dubious about the 'band' part. Heard a few bands claiming to have a 'dubstep' influence in the last few years and they've always been a bit wack. The EP is sick tho! Cheers for checking out the mix.
