I remember when he first signed for Spurs; Gazza found a ‘run-around’ guy called John Coberman. John was a Jewish boy, who used to do a lot of errands for players at Spurs, but Gazza took him under his wing.
At the training ground one day, in Mill Hill, Gazza turned up with a massive motor home that he’d bought his Father. Being Gazza, he’d bought a top of the range, big American jobby, and when he drove into the training round everyone was amazed- we’d never seen anything like it.
Then he told John that there was some kind of rattle from up on the roof, and without question, John was climbing up on the roof to check it out. But it was all a ruse, and Gazza quickly started the engine, and backed it out of the drive, put his foot down, and sped down Page Street towards McDonald’s.
The last we saw of the vehicle, it was tearing round the corner and poor John was clinging on for his life! Gazza drove all the way down to the M1, and when he finally returned, I’ve never seen anyone look as ill as John.
wilshere and gibbs were named in the u21 squad the other day, so doubt they'll be in the first team but andy carroll was left out, so there a chance he could be
edit saw this about wilshere
quote:
More intriguing is the position of Jack Wilshere, who was selected by Stuart Pearce for Under-21 duty, but could be released after the first leg in Norwich and report instead for senior duty after an encouraging start to the season which included winning a first full cap against Hungary in August
also that the squad was supposed to be named on sunday and capello's given them an extra three days off ahead of friday's training session and we play on tuesday, but i can't find the squad anywhere?
i did find this:
quote:
"Bent is back, he scored his first goal,” Capello told FATV. “You know that Bent in front of goal is really, really dangerous. He played 20 minutes against Switzerland and he scored an important goal. He is probably one of the important players for the future.
really?

chelsea really bossed them, especially second half. great free kick.
must be so frustrating being a arsenal fan
Realy??
Yep, really. Men against boys, as always. Essien was too good.
I didnt think so. Plus with the players we got out i thought we done well just need to stop overplaying it.
most of second half was played just outside chelsea's penalty area then it was a couple of counter attacks and that fucking free kick.
That's because Chelsea were happy to let you fuck about trying to pass it through Essien and Mikel, knowing they could rip Arsenal apart on the counter. They completely bossed it, Chamakh was shocking as well
And how many did Chelsea have? I can think of at least 3 for them.
Typical Arsenal. 'yeah we lost but we were amazing and knocked it round really nice and fancy like. We deserved to win!'
exactly. their fans are so fucking blinkered it's embarrassing. i hate chelsea but they completely schooled arsenal yesterday, always in control. ramires had a decent game, not seen him play that well in the prem before

Innit, passing it around going nowhere while Chelsea sit back isn't dominating the match, in the end it could have been 5 or 6, was embarrassing how easy it became.
