been playing loads of VR last couple days and it seems like steam VR is finally working properly, this is the first time i've played for hours and had no bugs, no lag, no tracking issues. It's sick when it works properly tbh, enjoying this game a lot

Nintendo always seem to have their button set up to the reverse of the industry standard, it's quite annoying.

It's the Japanese standard way, everyone else localises their button layout though

Remember loads of PSone games having their buttons configured the Nintendo way, ie FF7 had circle for 'confirm' and X for 'back'.

Also triangle used to be 'back' on a lot of playstation games, before it got moved to circle.

Seeing as all modern gamepads are based on the snes controller you could argue that everyone else apart from Nintendo is doing it wrong.

Circle was the original confirm as it's the Japanese equivalent of a tick, cross is still a cross hence that being cancel. As Syhr said earlier it was localised for western releases where we use triangle to cancel etc, can be confusing when playing imports sometimes.

this actually sounds really good, but i don't have the patience for such poor performance and all the bugs. Hopefully it gets fixed.

Anyone tried the Blitzkrieg games?

I've always wanted to give them a go after seeing Mark try and win the war for the Nazis in Peep Show lol

Am I enjoying this? I don't know anymore. Got to win the war for the Nazis.

Has anyone played Oxenfree? It was £3.99 on eStore recently but it's been out on other platforms for a while.

Basically like a walking sci-fi game - lots of speech and story but it's really well done and gripping.

Once you've completed it once you can play it through again and the first story changes the second story and so on.

Yeah I bought it in that sale. Quite enjoyed it but the long loading times and painfully slow character movement put me off a second playthrough. It's all good for 4 quid, but I don't think I'd have been too pleased had I paid 12 quid or whatever the normal price was.

Think its Owlboy for me next on the Switch, tried Enter the Gungeon but not really feeling it.

yeah the loading times felt long but they were probably only about 10 seconds - just feels so long these days lol.

i thought it was a bit slow when moving about, yeah, agreed tbf.

the story and the interesting relationships kept me interested enough to not worry though.

i think I'll give it another play just to see what's different.

Just about to start Owlboy - really looking forward to it. Just been hooked on some late Celeste levels - some are so tricky but it's so addictive because you know it's doable if you give it just a few more tries.

Bayonetta 1 & 2 for Switch look like quality 60fps ports. Fe looks interesting too. Good week for Switch games. Let us know how Owlboy is, seems like a good fit for Switch.

Just bought a second hand Wii U, and the loading times on that are not impressive.

After a while of playing it, not surprised it flopped. I'm normally a nintendo fan, and enjoyed a lot of their wii motion stuff, but playing the Star Fox demo made me nauseas. I just couldn't stand to not have a nintendo console, and I'm sure there will be some decent exclusives on there that don't get posted to the Switch.

Have a look at the e-shop if you really want to be offended lol.

Thinking of hacking my Wii U now tbh seeing as it's impossible to get games for reasonable prices most of the time and that the online features are no longer of any use. Is it piss easy like with the original Wii?

Played a couple of hours last night. Art and music are both great. In terms of difficulty it's a real step down from Celeste but I don't think they intended for it to be rock solid. Some nice little puzzle sections so far. It's relaxing, nice to look at and seems to be moving along at a nice pace. I'll let you know some more after a few more hours.

I just looked at my friends and still had someone called LeeHen on the list who's never been online since adding me back at the start of December. No games played or anything. Would have only added me from here as I never posted my code anywhere else.

I've added a whole bunch of people off here on Switch but I've yet to battle/race/team-up with any of 'em.

Looks like it's more of a chore than that, but still doable. Given how slow the menus are, not sure it would be that good as an emulator for old games even if they are all free.
