Anyone play The Old Republic? Just downloaded the trial, 25gb and it runs out in a couple of hours Is it worth it? Is there new dialogue and story even after you've been playing for ages or is it just endless grinding? My 2.6 dual core doesn't run it smoothly even on low but it's just about playable

Free is about the right price for it. By many accounts you can be done with a fully levelled up character and see all of their content within a month, there are many different characters to play through with, of course, but I would come to an MMORPG for an experience that lasts years. You've jumped in a bit late to get much from it at this point, I'd keep it on your hard drive until the next trial comes around.

It is nice and Mass Effecty in the dialogue sections, and you can get quite merky even at the beginning (I shot a kid's father right in front of him, so he could be taken to Korriban by his mother, to begin his training as a Sith).

Hmmmm, doesn't sound great then. Bioware + Star Wars seems too good to miss out on but considering my comp strugles with it i'll prob not bother playing anymore, i downloaded 25gig and only had time to play for 10 mins. Wish they would just make KOTOR 3.

EA have shut down the servers of their MMA game despite people still wanting to play and having paid for an online pass, smart move!

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-03-19-ea-closes-mma-servers-despite-online-pass

Kid Icarus getting rave reviews, 9 on Eurogamer

Not that I have an online pass or play any of the games mentioned, they're still cheeky fucking pricks if people paid for an online pass and then they shut it down. At the very least they should have to refund people the money they paid for that service.

The ending to ME3 is so so so disappointing. Tried my best not to hate it but it's just so shit. What makes it even worse is that the different endings are only slightly different from each other, i.e if you spent extra time to get all the assets and readiness it barely changes it, the outcome for all the endings are pretty much the same.

I really hope i dont hate it

The amount of self-entitled bitching and moaning over the ending is beyond cringeworthy. Being disappointed with it is fair enough but even if it involved Shepard and the reapers having an intergalactic dance-off to save the universe, it wouldn't ruin the entire trilogy for me, or prompt me to demand a new ending take Bioware to court (true story) over it.

Gamers are such pricks sometimes.

Where did Japanese gaming all go so wrong?

Mass Effect 3 only sold a measly 8000 copies in it's first week on sale which only got it to 20th in the charts, while the top 7 was...

1.Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition (Pokémon Co., DS): 172,027 (NEW)
2.Shining Blade (Sega, PSP): 122,257 (NEW)
3.Madoka Magika Portable (Namco Bandai, PSP): 62,408 (NEW)
4.One Piece Pirate Musou (Namco Bandai, PS3): 34,600 (Life to date: 780,508)
5.Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side Premium 3rd Story (Konami, PSP): 27,717 (NEW)
6.Hatsune Miku and Future Stars Project Mirai (Sega, 3DS): 18,341 (105,017)
7.If I Were in a Sealed Room with a Girl I'd Probably XXX (D3, 3DS): 18,291 (NEW)

Is the answer 'dress her up like a school girl and then savage her little 8bit fanny'?

Japan has always been like that though. They have a whole history of obscure games that never make it outside the country yet are strangely popular there.

lol at those names still.

They have always been a bit like that but never this bad, their tastes get more and more obscure all the time and they seem to hate everything non Japanese. How Call of Duty ever topped the charts there i will never know. I swear all Japanese men are pedos, having the age of consent at 12 pretty much confirms it

Castlevania is enjoyable, god of war for the xbox basically. Plus its massive, 2 discs, story mode takes forever.

If that happens, I'm giving up gaming. Fucking hell. The Resi team are the last people I would of guessed would jump on the bandwagon.

Gavin, you should pick up The House Of The Dead package. Lots of fun and one of the more adult games on the system. Mario Galaxy is also amazing.

people mock the wii, but i can't see any games on any other consoles better than mario galaxy or zelda...or offer more (offline) multiplayer fun than mario kart

The Wii is a good system man. Games are supposed to be about fun, nobody can deny the Wii's games that. Most people who mock it, I bet haven't even played it. Or just played the Wii Sports.

Absolute cunts. Japanese gaming has lost it's way so badly, i can't believe they are comparing RE to COD.
